Sorry achillies - wasn't intentional.  You should jump on the vent sometime when peeps are on and let us know you are up for a game.  I think when you joined we had 3v3 on vent so we just wanted to get things rolling.

I told you there was 5 of them on vent, which implies with me being the 6 there was no room for another.  I'll try not to speak in code next time lol.

No. He means they had 6 people ready to play a game. There wasn't room for you in that game, that was why you were kicked with the "premade only" remark.

Got in several games of DG last night.  I'll likely be playing some DoW2 games with trouser tonight. 

Oh - and I picked up settlers 7 over the weekend as well.  I'm actually enjoying that game alot.  Its similar to dawn of discovery.  I wasn't a huge fan of DoD, but its like this game took the things that I did like from that game and improved upon them tremendously.  It has some exceptionally thoughtful ideas as well.  It has facebook integration to post stats, etc.  It has a "find a tutor" feature.  When you first install the game, it asks you if you are willing to share your knowledge with other players.  If so, you click a checkbox to indicate you'll help.  Anyway, in game, there is always a box you can click on to find a tutor and it will go out and search for available tutors and you can chat about whatever your question is.  What a simple, thoughtful idea.  Anyway, its got a cartoony style but is very detailed.  One thing that annoyed the crap out of me and I think must be a bug is the blur effect.  In short, if you max out the graphical settings, everything gets a little hazy unless you are completely zoomed it.  As in, it looks HORRIBLE.  But, if you turn off AA and multi-sampling, the haze disappears.  I sincerely hope this is something that gets patched because there is NO WAY the dev's could have intended for it to work that way.

Anyway, I came home on lunch and trouser was around so we started the campaign mode of DoW2. Was some good fun.  I'm not sure when I'll be on again tonight.

Hedgie, it sounds like a real fun game but its not an upload problem with my internet... it cuts out for enough time to disconnect me so I don't think I'll be able to play any games whatsoever until I can get a DSL modem or something figured out.

My sex strike to improve internet living conditions at my girlfriends house didn't go so well.  I'll be at my place until Wendsday so if you are around hopefully we can play some DG for old times sake.

Played some DoW2 games tonight w trouser.  Had some chats with jon.  And Played 1 game of dg.  Lots of fun.

Lol yes Achilles, Pacov had invited me to the game to play with the 5 players who were on vent, you joined and snagged the spot a second before I got there.  So the host kicked you and said the premade only thing because he knew I was coming to the game.

who wouldve guessed that! lol   Kudos for a valiant effort!

Some quick updates:  lagwars blew up again tonight.  Not sure what they are up to, but I believe the outtage was >2 hours.  I setup my old private vent again and got in several games with some folks.  Lagwars is back up now, so my private server is dead again until lagwars dies again .  Hopefully that will take awhile.  Anway, I think the most fun game I had tonight was with me trouser and rawrrr.   We played Qot (me), tb (rawrrr), and trouser(reg).  We LIT UP a fairly decent team using what most would consider a meh setup,  I doubt you'll find that game in the stats though as tonight was a complete abomination for stats.  I had mulitple crashes and even reinstalled the game.  We'd be about to get a win and there would be a sudden invalid gamestate.  I think we played 7-8 games and maybe 1-2 games actually have a stat tracked.  It was pretty rediculous.  And to finish the night, trouser and I decided to play a Co-op round of Dow2.  About 15 minutes in, my internet dropped (def on the ISP side of things) for about 10 minutes.  It was a real win of a night as far as technical shite goes, but it was quite a bit of fun.  Thanks for playing guys.  I'll see you back on lagwars hopefully tomorrow. 

Oh - trouser and I are officially going to participate in the new tournament that's SLOWLY being organized.  It's 2v2 and that's still not my favorite mode of play, but I've got quite a bit more experience at that now, so I think he and I will be quite competitive. 

The rules are that you must have 1 da, tb, or reg on your team.  So, if you guys are thinking about making teams, keep that in mind.  YOU NEED A GOOD DA/TB/REG.  I'm hoping to see more of you folks form teams and fight it out with us.

I think paint would make a good teammate for you based on your skillsets, but I haven't chatted with him recently and don't know if he'd be into it.  Anyway else up for teaming up with mac?

I ended up with a little more time on my hands that I was expecting tonight and played the crap out of co-op DoW2 with trouser.  We jumped into DG later and saw that GM was having a freaking great night.  They had people from osmium shift and clan pacov and everywhere else in channel and I think even pulled off at least 1 5v5 game.  The majority of us have been relegated to 3v3 games lately, so it was good to see some bigger games going on, even if I couldn't partake.

Trouser and I put some practice time into our 2v2 game based on the rules of the tournament.  We won every game we played and swapped roles (eg who had to be the da,reg, or tb).  I think our combos were erb/tb and oak/reg.  And i believe all of our matches were up against oak/erb.

Which brings me to prizmsmurf.  This guy seems to be a pretty terrible human being and should certainly be avoided.  On our last game of the night, we played against him and another fellow.  The other fellow was a bit more skilled than prism, but they had reasonable skill levels.  I'm very disappointed that the screen shots I took produced gray as I would have done whatever I could to get prizm banned for being such a horrible sport.  And I'll add, he wasn't taunted or abused during the game.  All was on the up and up.  After prizm got killed and was at the point of rage quitting (he rage quit a in a game earlier in the evening), he said "I hope you die a long slow death of cancer.  I mean it."  Then said "Bet you are going to enjoy watching me desync."  Then, just before the citadel went down, desynced the game.  Now frankly, I don't give a rip about stats.  But seriously - what a complete shite.  You lost a game vs a reg and an oak.  Grow up.  Prizm is one I will avoid in the future.  I suggest you do the same because if you beat him, he's a terrible sport.

also, ya we had a sweet 4v4 on zikurat (had 5v5, but mith said his comp couldnt handle it so we dropped 2).  Ended after 1 hour because McShane picked slaughter rofl.  20 kills and the citadel dropping coincided within a second of each other to finish it.  Lowest overall gold for any player was over 90000.  I decided to watch the replay.. and it's interesting how many people quite simply aren't used to that much gold (me included).  Too bad we can't get more games that involve the artifact flag  I saw people still walking around with banded armor, scale mail, or a scaled helm even though they had several thousand gold on them.  I forgot how OP reg was when he had ashkandor or else I think the game would have ended sooner (I ended up getting it near the end).

Artifacts are funnn.. should play some high gold games sometime imo! 

If I made it into the beta, you can bet I'd play with ya.  Congrats.  So - did you get an email saying you got the key or did you just log into www.battle.net and see it there or what?

I think you'd be surprized at just how effective oak/reg can be.
