Here we go:  there aren't alot of demigod clans out there.  The game CURRENTLY has less than 500 people that play together at any given time online.  I can't back that number up, but I think that's fairly reasonable based on what I've seen.  Out of those 500 or so players, many of those players many have bad connections and some outright cheat.  You probably don't want to play with them.  I probably don't either.  So, getting a group of people together that don't cheat or have bad connections is a pretty good idea IMO.  Plus, coordinating a team in demigod is MUCH easier if you have voicechat.  Let's do that too. So - players with good connections + players that use voicechat (at least to listen in) = clan pacov.  Its pretty much an all welcome scenario so long as you fit that criteria.  Here's the info you need to join voicechat:

Once you join the vent, PM someone in clan pacov.  Each of our channels are password protected but there are plenty of public channels to idle in and people clan pacov check out the pub channels from time to time.

Here's what we deliver.  You get more balanced games with people that don't cheat.  I regularly balance games out to encourage more people to play with and against us.  

Ask questions if you have them and any clan pacov specific discussions belong here (casual, serious, etc).

Clan Pacov Mission Statement:

Clan pacov isn't about forming team super premade.  Its about frequently getting fun games going and occassionally getting some really competitive games going as well.  We welcome like minded, non-devisive individuals interested in playing games on a semi-regular basis.  We don't welcome people who cheat at games.  We will mix up teams to make things fun.  We will all generally be using voicechat.  We will play with and against each other.  We will play with and against other clans.

FYI - the clan channel is most active between 6PM-2AM EST daily, but people are on all hours of the days

I hope that's sarcasm, Hedgie.  I'm trying to like the MP aspect of the game, but I know the developers are actively supporting that game and releasing content based on community feedback.  I turned up the difficulty in SP and it seems like that forces you to make some actual tactical decisions instead of just willy nilly running around and shootings things.  Anyway, I'm up for giving for trying some co-op or MP whenever we are both free next.

lagwars apparently exploded tonight.  me n trouser were playing a bit with cow and the server kept restarting... fun stuff.  Its down as I write this.  I assume it will be back. 

Quick recap on clan bs - kalel and I had a bit of a falling out.  I didn't play games with anyone for 3 days (I finally went through and beat mass effect 2).  He lost his mind as a result, got drunk one night, and insulted the fuck out of me in steam's chat.  I am now a "dickless fuck" because I didn't check in on him or some such rot.  Anyway, he and I apparently disagree on a few points.  For instance, if I act like an asshole, I man up and apologize for my poor behavior.  But the main problem (apparently) - I don't require everyone that I play with on a regular basis to play video games with me on a daily basis.  Life often happens when I'm not playing games... 

Anyway, judging by the shite he pulled with getting pissed at obscenitor some time ago and then claiming obsc was exploiting because of that (which made me look like an ass when I called obsc out on kale's bs), to opening his own vent channel a month or so ago (he wanted our clan vent to be for demigod only and all other games should be in his vent for some reason), it just seems like he gets some idea in his head and then stirs shite up.  Anyway, too much grief for me over video games.  Well, it was fun while it lasted with ya, Kalel.  

Anyway, tonight I got some games in with hedgie in co-op in DOW2.  That was actually alot of fun for me.  Someone can just join in anywhere in your co-op campaign and you can keep playing it out.  Nice feature.  And I'm looking forward to trying out the last stand mode soon.  I beat the original DOW2 today and will be starting the expansion sometime this week.  Its pretty reasonably priced, too... $30 for the original $40 for the original + expansion if I'm remembering right.  If you have that game and want to add me as a friend, its pacov123 in games for windows live.  Make sure you reply here so I know who the fug u are.  And then I played some DG with trouser and cow this evening.  Cya guys.  

Anyway, I expect I'll be playing some bfbc2, demigod, and dow2 this week... and final fantasy 6000 when i get some time. Hope to catch some of you soon...

This is because of elemental and some crazy coding on someone's part.  It happens.  Suffice to say, the empire of Resoln would like you to go F yourself.

Anyway, funest game of this night is above - we had 2 premade v 2 premade with us adding in 1 pug a piece.  Rawrrr and jaws got screwed.  They were DOMINATING US (random, btw).  Their sedna had 24,000 gold at one point.  That's right.  24,000.  She never bought a DAMN thing.  We got giants because I sold a few things.  She still had 24,000.  Then, her team realized this (we caught on when she had like 6,000).  So, she bought some of the weaker artifacts.  At this point, it didn't matter - we had 1 of their ports and they had a well artifacted sedna that we tried to ignore while holding ports (did i mention they got 2 ub's and 1 sedna through the random?)  Anyway, they got screwed.  Should have been an easy win for them.  Their bad for not noticing crazy sedna, though.  We figured the sedna had enough experience (check stats) to realize she could buy.... ANYTHING with her dough.  Apparently not.  Anyway, fun for me after getting my butt kicked some tonight.  Thanks for playing with.

Savage is actually a pretty fun game.  I played quite a bit of savage 1, and only a little bit of savage 2.

The premise is pretty cool.  You are either playing the game as a first person shooter - a grunt on the field, or you are the commander of the team and playing an RTS directing the grunts.  Of course the grunts dont have to listen to the commander. It is well worth checking out if you havent played it at all.

I just looked it up and it appears that the co-op for dow2 only supports 2 people instead of the magical 4 I thought it might.  Still fun though.  It still has normal MP and I believe the last stand mode supports 3 people as a max (the game I joined last night had exactly 3 slots to join).

Completely agree.  We were doing 2pre vs 2 pre + 1 pug a piece games last night and I kept getting my butt handed to me... followed by them getting 2 ub's and a sedna in random.  Meh.  Looks like we lucked out... I can't imagine someone with >50 games not considering shopping or buying citadel upgrades or... I'd have been super pissed if that happened to me.  Anyway, if you pug and end up with ben69zin, suggest he maybe shop from time to time :beer:

good news! I'm getting a home soon ^^; I'll be moving in with my coworker. I'm trying pretty hard to get him to play DoW II and I'm also getting into it with my "pro" coworker.

That said, once I get my house set up and my desktop again I'll certainly try to play a few games of demigod with you all.

My notebook broke several days ago. I haven't decided about trying to get it repaired for $400, buying a new nice one (not ultra pro, but "nice") or just getting a cheap little $300 netbook for when I want to chat or surf the web and then just use my desktop for exclusive gaming. A nice notebook is really nice though when traveling or doing LANs though...

I also have internet about three times faster than dialup :-/ at least it has a good ping?

lvl 8 I said "you know you can spend your gold right?" and then I realized what was happening rofl.  I just started laughing.  Repeated at lvl 10 to no avail

Jaws also asked him to get angels and then cats later.. not a word from him.

 

I think he was Russian and didnt speak English.  No idea how he won so many games tho rofl.

Yay!  My showerbuddy Hedgie's gonna get internet again... now I just have to convince my girlfriend that we need to get DSL or something cause the cable internet is shit at her house.  Unfortunately, me being able to play video games is not on her list of priorities so I'm just going to have to withold sex until she caves in.

I'll be back eventually and then me and Hedgie will dominate the dozen or so people who still play this game.

By the way Hedgie, is DoWII any good for multiplayer?

I love this; I just had an ok game where everyone (Including myself) made one or 2 noob mistakes. It was nothing to worry about, because my team controlled the map and literally had victory in the bag; until our UB went AFK for 3-5 fucking minutes! Magically between this time limit the opposing team pushed the shit out of us, took control of the map, and held it the res of the game. I saw the lost and conceded, the damn UB said "No concede and kept playing. Three minutes after that he calling us noobs and then rage quits. I saved the replay and going to rewatch it to see what he even do during the time he was there.

pretty rude.  I know shite can happen and you may have to go afk or quit, but seriously - coming back 3-5 minutes later and then acting like a jerk because your team didn't destroy them while you were gone = meh.  Probably best to avoid whoever that was - especially if he didn't even offer a reason for the afk.

edit - in unrelated news, I'm trying out some new firmware on my router.  Just got it successfully installed on my lunch break (only took me 20-30 to get it up and running, following all of the instructions).  I'm curious if anyone has any experience with or uses the same thing as me.  http://www.dd-wrt.com/.  I noticed right off the bat that my internet speed seemed a little more crisp... I still need to get to portwarded, reconfiging my network,etc, though.  Anyone use this and have any feedback?
