Here we go:  there aren't alot of demigod clans out there.  The game CURRENTLY has less than 500 people that play together at any given time online.  I can't back that number up, but I think that's fairly reasonable based on what I've seen.  Out of those 500 or so players, many of those players many have bad connections and some outright cheat.  You probably don't want to play with them.  I probably don't either.  So, getting a group of people together that don't cheat or have bad connections is a pretty good idea IMO.  Plus, coordinating a team in demigod is MUCH easier if you have voicechat.  Let's do that too. So - players with good connections + players that use voicechat (at least to listen in) = clan pacov.  Its pretty much an all welcome scenario so long as you fit that criteria.  Here's the info you need to join voicechat:

Once you join the vent, PM someone in clan pacov.  Each of our channels are password protected but there are plenty of public channels to idle in and people clan pacov check out the pub channels from time to time.

Here's what we deliver.  You get more balanced games with people that don't cheat.  I regularly balance games out to encourage more people to play with and against us.  

Ask questions if you have them and any clan pacov specific discussions belong here (casual, serious, etc).

Clan Pacov Mission Statement:

Clan pacov isn't about forming team super premade.  Its about frequently getting fun games going and occassionally getting some really competitive games going as well.  We welcome like minded, non-devisive individuals interested in playing games on a semi-regular basis.  We don't welcome people who cheat at games.  We will mix up teams to make things fun.  We will all generally be using voicechat.  We will play with and against each other.  We will play with and against other clans.

FYI - the clan channel is most active between 6PM-2AM EST daily, but people are on all hours of the days

also, ya we had a sweet 4v4 on zikurat (had 5v5, but mith said his comp couldnt handle it so we dropped 2).  Ended after 1 hour because McShane picked slaughter rofl.  20 kills and the citadel dropping coincided within a second of each other to finish it.  Lowest overall gold for any player was over 90000.  I decided to watch the replay.. and it's interesting how many people quite simply aren't used to that much gold (me included).  Too bad we can't get more games that involve the artifact flag  I saw people still walking around with banded armor, scale mail, or a scaled helm even though they had several thousand gold on them.  I forgot how OP reg was when he had ashkandor or else I think the game would have ended sooner (I ended up getting it near the end).

 

Artifacts are funnn.. should play some high gold games sometime imo!

That was an interesting game lol, if it was conquest would've only been like 25 min game but the citadel is so powerful on slaughter.  When kollecktir finally got the artifact shop while we were 8 levels ahead with way more gold from defending for so long, I begged my Rook and Beast to teleport over there to keep it locked as zen_god had mentioned that he had 25k, but they were both too scared to leave the citadel.  Even if they had died purchasing an artifact that was our only chance, instead we just defended for a half an hour until you guys got ashkandors and All-Fathers hahaha.  High gold is pretty sweet though, I'm down to mess around with some games like that sometime.

oh, I will, of course.  Its just a bit of a bonus to playing well in advance, of course.  I was a beta tester for Warcraft III and it was really cool to see the balance changes they made to the game from beta to full.  But, starcraft is pretty much my favorite MP game of all time.  No harm in logging into bnet every day or so to see if I won the lottery. :)

Also.. not saying reg / oak isn't powerful, but just saying tb / oak can be moreso.  Although, the last time I played tb / oak was against ersca / sakke .. that was a fantastic game (they lost, but... it was still a powerful combo).  Too bad replays don't work from previous patches.

sounds good to me.  No Demigod for me today.  I expect to be on again tomorrow though.  Trouser and I were tearing through Dow2 Co-op mode... we're about to finish the first game.  ALOT of folks are in the GM clan channel again.  Seems like many are getting together there the past few nights!  Nice to see folks gathering again and playing together on vent.  As of right this second, there are 7 in channel.  Good stuff!  Catch some of you folks tomorrow in DG hopefully.

More 4v4's :D  Still havent managed to get a 5v5 going although we've had the people for it.  Hard to balance teams when you don't have a slot open to interchange people, so people drop, then a random person joins, they have to be kicked, person changes teams, another person joins and is kicked, old person finally gets back in and lobby crashes lol.  Then you password the game and the few people not on vent don't know the password so you only have a 4v4 >.<

 

It's refreshing to play good, large games on leviathan and zikurat tho.

make sure you read my post above this.  REALLY good deal.  Anyway, I was fortunate enough to have a really short Friday at work.  So, I got quite a few games in.  Trouser and I played DG only.  Because I wanted to be apart of the DG madness going on in GM recently, me and trouser jumped in and played several 4v4 and 5v5 games.  Was quite a bit of fun.  I don't have admin access there to move players from channel to channel, so I asked everyone to move to my channel.  Anyway, if you are someone who has randomly popped on this thread, send me a PM in lagwars vent (I'm ALMOST always in the afk channel as they allow idling) and let me know tha tyou want to join us.  We are happy to see new skilled players and can often compensate if you aren't AWESOME at Dg.  Kalel and I have made some steps to our resolving some issues and will hopefully be back to playing together again soon once that bs is sorted.

Apologies for having to step away last night.  My daughter was having a sleepover here and her friend came into the room crying that she wanted to go back home :(

I tried to placate them for a few minutes but in the end I just had to walk her back across the street.

Thanks for the game though.  As I have gotten DA for every random game lately I am starting to pick him up a bit :)

trouser and i picked up lol and played some.  Not sure how much we'll be playing that in the future.  Got some dg games in tonight.  Fun stuff.  Nothing too exciting though.  Kestrel opened a thread about 5v5 games fing up.  Wondering if there is a server issue or if its something on our side.  I couldn't launch any 5v5 games for the past 3 days or so though. 

Random factoid - most of the time I am in the AFK channel in the lagwars vent.  I'm generally truely afk.  Sometimes I play SP games while in the AFK channel, but if I'm playing with anyone in clan pacov or on lagwars, I'm in the vent 100% of the time chatting (and not in the AFK channel). I use a bluetooth headset for listening into chat and speaking, so the AFK channel is muted in clan pacov (as I'd have to turn on my headset to hear anyone).  The easiest way to spot me is through steam chat as I don't ever change my status to offline... but only my closest buds are friends with me in steam to see my status. 

Anyway, it doesn't hurt to send me a pm to see if I'm around in vent if I'm idling in the afk channel.  Just make sure you leave the chat window open as I can't respond to you otherwise. 

And - silly enough, we are talking about changing the name of the clan to Gritz and Gravy (gg).  All good DG clams must have G in the title, you know.

Trouser and I stuck to LoL's tonight.  We've been having some fun with it, but I certainly don't see myself playing that in the long term.  Dg's still much more fun imo.  I'll be getting some dg in tomorrow night.  Hoping to get people to start using uberfix 1.02.  Lots of good bug fixed (for instance, in 1.02, all of occ's abilities work the way they are written).
