Actually, it's only working on the main desktop icons such as "My Computer, My Network Places" etc.. but doesn't seem to be working on the rest of the system. *shrug* oh well. I guess if I want to use Litestep I'll have to deal with the problems that come along with it.

DesignCaddy, That's exactly what I'd like to do. I totally understand the family enviornment of the community and I'd like to turn it around and try to mend what damage I've done and be more of a friendly, productive aspect in the community. I would like to start skinning and throwing out some designs for all to see, but only time will tell. Anyway, you guys can dog on me with my first few skins considering how much of an a55 I've been. I'm actually looking forward to the abuse. <img src="http:

I'm not saying that.. Make all of the bubbly skins you want. Don't pay so much attention to what I'm saying. I'm not important at all. It's just the personal opinion of one person, so don't worry about it so much. I'm just an opinionated S.O.B. and I'm not afraid speak my mind. But who really cares? I'm not important.

I'm going to tell everyone exactly why I don't like a lot of the work here. The reason I started skinning and playing around with the Windows XP GUI was to change the original commercial look of everything and give it something thats worth looking at. A lot of what I see on here is going along the same lines as what Windows XP originally looked like. Too bubbly and commercialized.. No wonder these companies are sponsering them. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/bigsmile.gif" bor

In my opinion, I wouldn't put most of pixtudio's work on my desktop if someone paid me to do it. It's too much. Take a look at the work "Zippo" and please, don't tell me it's not over-saturing and lacking contrast. This is my point. The reason these people are getting hired by companies for graphic design work is because of the lack of originality to choose from.

I've created objects to replace my taskbar, start menu and clock. I was wondering if I need to code a script in order to display the currently running programs like the normal windows taskbar does, or if there's a plugin for doing that?

I'm stating my opinion.. So.. Yes, I do state things. And you say that I should present it in a way that is a bit nicer but telling you what I think is telling you what I think. There's no other way around it. But yes, I was cruel and I apologize. "I think hellish has a bad taste" <- I stated my opinion in exactly that way.

Do you guys know how, in DesktopX2.10 to create an object that shows the programs running currently in the taskbar, like it does on the normal windows taskbar. Do I need to use the object bar plugin for that?

I understand that I've pissed a lot of people off and you guys will never forgive me, but I'm sure if I change my nickname and come back a new, refreshed individual you'll never know the difference. My point is.. This is the internet. Don't take my 'text' to heart because it's not personal and it's really just meaningless. I'm not going to be a jerk anymore, so if you'd like to forgive me I'm sure we can all move on. I apologize. I'm sorry. I was horrible. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/im

grayhaze, I don't know what your themes look like, nor do I care. But if you 'do' have glossy/bubbly/over saturated themes then maybe you should reconsider your technique in skinning and design. That's just my opinion and opinions are like skins, everyones got some. Some not as appealing as others. Thanks for your input tho, Sir grayhaze.

IPlural, first of all.. I'm sure no one needs you to come to their rescue, and by you jumping on here and giving your input, I'm sure you feel like quite the hero. I'm not arguing my point anymore so your addition to this thread is useless.

goodmorphing, I've already emailed Tiggz and apologized and also asked him if he would help me with designing what I'd like to see more of on here. I came off very crudely and I do apologize. I hope everyone understands.

Yea, I really like that program. I'm starting to mess with DesktopX2.10 and I'm creating new objects, but I have no idea where to start. Are there any tutorial's that I could look over to get an idea of what does what?
