I would say that you don't necessarily have to expand quickly, but you do need to expand intelligently and have a fair amount of defense. But what 4x game do you not have to do this in? Additionally, with certain magic paths, you can certainly forestall any attack on you if you have it properly scouted. I did get this game on sale, but it is definitely worth its full price if you like 4x games. I am considering gifting this to my nephews for

Definitely a great buy for me. Been playing it every night since I got it. Nearly cancelled boardgaming last night to play it, which I never consider with a computer game.

My computer died recently. I built a new one and tried to reinstall GalCivII and Dark Avatar. The problem is that after reinstalling, I can start the game up, but everytime I try to start a new game, the game crashes as it goes to generate the new game. Any ideas? I know the answer to this is probably simple, but when I got to view a ship in the shipyard, The ship always starts spinning at a very high speed and I cannot get it to stop. What can I do to get it to stop?

Actually, there are more and more studies coming out to show that global warming is due to increased solar activity. There is an article in this month's Discover (I think it was Discover) magazine about the studies conducted by Danish researchers about the sun being the primary culprit in today's global warming, not man. There is also a show that was made that was shown over in the UK about it, you can find it on Google Video, search for "The Great Global Warming Swindle". The fact is, the si

I recently purchased a new computer and obviously want to install GalCivII on the new computer. I bought the game via download. Do I just need to fire up the Stardock software and download it again?

The only way I have seen this is with a Precursor artifact. Just got that event last night, every uninhabitable planet in a 2 sector radius went to a Class 14!

Yeah, its finally showing up on the Serial Emailer, I tried several times earlier, but all it showed was Stardock. Now it shows both, but everytime I start up stardock, my login fails... I'll try again in a little bit, it might just be high traffic, its odd though, I can log in through IE fine, but loggin in through Stardock is a no-go.

I bought the game via the Stardock Store this morning, the order went through normally, except I never received my email with the serial number, the download link, or anything else. Luckily I printed a copy of the screen receipt so I have my order number. I sent a note to sales@stardock.com, but would hate to have to wait until at least Monday to get this resolved. Any ideas? Thanks! John

I created an account and bought the game via digital download. Everything took, except I never received a confirming receipt by email (luckily I printed out eh one that was on the screen) and it seems that Stardock does not show anything with a S/N on my account! I sent an email to sales@stardock.com, but hate to think that I am going to have to wait until Monday to get a response...
