I recently purchased a Treo 750, major piece of junk, IMO, considered the IPhone but traded the Treo back in for the new Blackberry Curve. It does exactly what I need and the battery life is exceptional, (and you can actually change it!), and it's features, OS and GUI are solid . The Curve is a really nice device by RIM so the IPhone became a distant consideration at this point. After my 2 yr. contract comes up on the Curve I might consider again but the cons outweigh the pros at least at this

I would like to add my vote to getting an answer as to what will be compatible with Vista 64 bit versions. I never see anything about that other than it's a pain to develop for. In particular, I would like to know what the plans for Windows Blinds and Desktop X are in relation to Vista 64 Bit. Is Windows Blinds 6 and Desktop X 4 compatible with V-64? Every thing being developed and the new direction of Object Desktop looks great, but as a long time subscriber to everything StarDock, I find

I'm pretty excited about all the new, cool toys coming but I'm a little more interested in the time frame that Windows Blinds and Desktop X Pro that I paid for when I purchased my Object Desktop account will work with Vista 64 bit. Actually I paid extra for the Pro version of Desktop X, and was happy to btw. My subscription is coming up for renewal next month and in all of he years that I have continued to pay for the subscription, I have never given a second thought to if I was going to renew

Wanted to take advantage of the 4gigs of memory I have and my 64 bit processor. I have been running the 64 bit version of Vista since its release and have had far less problems with it than I had in any previous version of MS OS's in the same time frame. I have only run into 2 applications that will not work with it currently, one of which is Windows Blinds. I have heard that the 64 bit version of WB is coming so I am a happy camper so far. Running Full time - Vista Ultimate, 64 Bit, Intel Core 2 6600 at 2.40GHz, 4 Gigs of Ram - nVidia 8800 Video Card, 320 GB HD, Cannon MP600 InkJet and everything with the exception of one or two programs have been pretty steady. No significant problems but I built the system with Vista in mind.

Have not looked at this thread for a day or so, looks as if everyone is saying the same thing, either be prepared to edit your registy or don't install. Good advise, but somewhat after the fact for many. I'm fortunate in the sense that simply due to the industry I work in, 1. I have access to an entire team of extremely talented IT folks and 2. Interesting observation JcRabbit and probably true in some cases. However after following the instuctions on the Aston site step by step numerous times with no change in the way that the shell startup file is overwritten, it is a little discouraging for an otherwise good application. I have had the same problem as Steeler Sandy with this program. For some reason, Aston seems to be re-wrting something because after un-installing and re-installing and un-installing again, both from the Aston menu and the control panel add/remove I can not get the explorer shell to come back for some reason, an .ini file or a registry entry somewhere, or both, that is not getting deleted during the un-install is my guess.
