Brad. You say you want to avoid "mega fleets". One way this can be done is to have a movement penalty depending on how may ships there are in the fleet. 5 ships ore more: movement -1 10 ships ore more: movement -2 15 ships ore more: movement -3 20 ships ore more: movement -4 25 ships ore more: movement -5 This would simulate the problems of staying in formation etc. It also would make huge Avatar fleets WERY slow, since the base movement of the fleet would be equa

Will that build also fix ships getting stuk on top of other ships? In my curent game the Yor where at war with the Altarians. An altarian Battle-cruiser attaks an Yor Battle-cruicer and instead moves to the same location. Any reinforcements also get stuck. Currently the Yor are dead, but they stil have the SECOND-strongest navy, and the Altarians have kept sending reinforcements, the twenty latest ships in the stack are Altarian Avatars. It truly looks stupid with a stack of 60

I have had this problem in all my games so far. The first event to get listed gets the text from the previous event. This happens about 1 in 4 times regardles of number of projects and type of project. Example: Turn 1: Buy Bank on Mars! Turn 2: project finished : Bank on mars. Buy Infonet on Earth! Buy Infonet on Mars! Turn 3: project finished : Bank on mars. project finished : Infonet on mars. When pushing the list item saying

It seems to me that ANY ship with a litle damage, has a chance ( was that 20%?) of repairing itself with a random amount ( 1 - xx hitpoints) depending on your technology. This repair is added to the ship even if the sip's damage is smaler that the repaired amount. This bug is not critical since the difference never will be very big.

1.)and 2.) Yes I'd really like to see animations here, but due to dowload sizes these should be placed in a separate download (like the music for LWN). I would also like a sound FX pack containing various sounds like JavaScout mentioned. And it would be nice I the background music was moved to a separate pack to reduce the game-dowload. (There are some of us that prefers to listen to a cd rather than the in-game music that can become a little boring after long hours.)

For me, turning the "spy-sliders" to zero didn't help. I still lost about 3K every turn. But myproblem was only with a game started with 1C, and continued with 1D.

I would also like to build a Privateer ship. This ship could be used for harrasing trade-lines behind between enemy worlds, and give me a smal income. Of course, they would have to fly the pirate flag ewen if I controll them. This could be a cost effective way of waging a economical "war", even when pretending to have a friendly relationship.

It's not like I can provide much feedback when I'm not added to the list of alpha-testers yet. :notsure: Mind you, I first signed up for this game in november. ;)

Hmm... In SE IV gold you can activate "ministers" to handle construction or even a defence fleet. however I do LOVE the micromanagement of that game :D . As for Stars: SG ... Well I can wait a little longer. I have the original Stars, (published by Empire interactive vaaay back in '96) and I still play it from time to time :) . Now MOO3 is a story I won't coment on. (:( :sniff!: (:( . Back to micromanagement, I think it would be best if some aspects of the game coul
