Strategies sharing: survey ship usage

I've found very usefull to use the USS Hero not only for cleaning the space from any bonus I can reach but also (a little later) to defend while building battleship/dreadenough.
In last game I had 61 HP 27 attach and 16 defense. With those numbers anything not a dreadenough was at my mercy. I just had to manage my hitpoints ;)

On the contrary I've not seen a smart usage of the survey ship from the AI, but I like it LOL

We're going to also put in Battle Hawks soon that hvae survey ship abilities but are a bit better than the default survey ship.

If you want a good combat vessel, a Scout Ship can frequently fill the roll. In my last game, the U.S.S Hero made it up to 78HP, 212 attack, 18 defense (I think).
