the wallpaper cat925 by cat925 https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=8&SkinID=9775 is a rip of Obscure release by 'back' on DA. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/782790

Looks good, Koasati. Care to post the skin so others can learn by example. OK, so I can learn by example.
I guess it can be done, but skinstudio and I are not on speaking terms. The #%&@ just won't listen!
Sorry about the link. I didn't realize neowin restricted them like that. I think some of you think I am talking about the thin task bar. here is a cropped version of the image to show what I mean. http://home.columbus.rr.com/momanddad/ss/slimplace.jpg
I've noticed some Visual Styles have a 'slim places bar'. Can WB (maybe skinstudio more accurately) do this? Here's an example: http://www.neowin.net/forum/uploads/post-7-1054426134.jpg
foiled by that tricky 'reading' thing again. Thanks!
hmm, I'm using wb4 and my console is not skinned. Is there a trick to it?
you got a link to the full version when you purchased it.
hey, Big Doug One of your wishes is already true. Make a copy of your objectdock folder. you can launch each exe and have 2 docks. At one time I had my 'taskbar dock' on the bottom of the screen and my 'launcher dock' on the side. PS - I hope this still works, I did it in version .7 or something.
Oh, so it's not down for maintenance?
I like the kind I can access here. mmmmmm, solid colors.
what's a mac quickstart?
If you have the NT resource kit, you could use kill.exe. There is probably some freeware out there that does the same thing. I don't know if getting 'killed' would have any adverse affects on either program. run.bat should be pretty simple. "C:\Program Files\Object Desktop\DesktopX\desktopx.exe" "C:\Program Files\ObjectDock\ObjectDock.exe"
I went ahead and answered expert. I figure I'm an expert user, but a novice programmer and administrator. Sometimes I take an evil pleasure in asking people what they tried before calling me. 90% of the time the answer is 'nothing'. I'm not cruel enough to tell people to look through the help file, search on google, and if they still can't figure it out, call me back.
uhhhh .... it means angry.
Every sperm is sacred Every sperm is great If a sperm gets wasted God gets quite irate
Send it to Jafo. If he's not the right person, he will certainly know who is.
d1's spelling is too good to be aafus
hmm. I didn't realize you had figured out where it came from. Where was it? Before answering, remember that it was not from 'some unknown logonxp on this site'
You can create a shortcut to 'Control.exe desk.cpl'
I have used this vbs file for start buttons in the past. all it does is send CTRL-ESC. The start menu will pop up in it's normal place. set wShell=wscript.createobject("wscript.shell") wShell.sendkeys "^{ESC}"
Do you have a pop-up blocker? If so, try disabling it.
I've seen IBM and Microsoft offering some of their multi-CD software suites on DVD. Technet can be purchased on DVD now, too.
The plug-in is unreliable at best. here's what I have done is create a little vbs file that emulates CTRL-ESC. then make my DX start button point to that vbs file. This has worked pretty well for me.
I think they mean they are releasing the Pro, Home versions for now, and waiting on Server.
