you can not skin the command prompt with msstyles. solution: just use this replacement: http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/ it uses the msstyle and has many other nice features as transparency, on top, etc ...

It may sound obvious, but if you used Windowblinds instead, you would get your console skinned.

hmm, I'm using wb4 and my console is not skinned. Is there a trick to it?

display properties>advanced button. Top left portion of the window, third from the top.

And it has to be the registered version, of course.

in the first post he was saying that he is working on a msstyle, so telling him to use WB is a little pointless guys.

the "you get what you pay for" statement is something you see here every now and when, but that´s rather questionable especially in terms of software. there are so many freeware/Open Source programs that outdo their payware equivalents.

I was just pointing out that WB would answer his need. His question was how to get the console skinned with msstyle. Well, you can't. But Windowblinds can. So I think I answered his question.

True in some cases, but not in this particular one. In skinning Windows, there are no free alternatives that outdo Windowblinds. You get what you pay for, and more. You get a whole lot more from Windowbinds than the ridiculous 20$ it sells for.
