Not really. THere is this page https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/development.html , but it only has one example with source code. I hear they are working on an actual SDK, or something similar.

You may need to have you keyboard looked at. It appears the 'period' key isn't working.
DaWebMassa, this is a very old version of dxtoys before it was called dxtoys. I wouldn't use it, myself.
C++ also isn't required. DXToys is written in Delphi

There are no other VWM plugins for DX. I have heard that a new, improved one is in the works, but who knows when. In the mean time, give vern or dvwm a try.
