Hah! Good point!
I like this. Can you describe how you would envision this looking like in game?
Feel free to join us live on Discord any time! discord.gg/stardock This is where we will be doing design meetings and such with Founders and other beta testers. The
Indeed! I just wish it wasn't quite so fragile but then, we wouldn't need fixed defenses. :)
Greetings! So let's do some introductions... I'm "Frogboy", aka Brad Wardell, aka the Executive Producer of Siege of Centauri. My partner in mayhem is "Kael", aka Derek Paxton, the Lead Designer. We're here to try to create the ultimate tower defense game. This won't happen overnight of course. But with your help, we hope to take the first steps. We are working to update the tooltips to provide you with more information. In the meant

Thanks!
Greetings! Wanted to give you guy's a sneak peek of what this week's Founders program will deliver. The game will have two modes: Normal Game Survival Mode The normal game brings you to this map of the planet: As you protect one area of the planet, additional areas open up. The main thing here is that you can, in fact, win.<
So what is your favorite tower defense game and why? One of our favorites is Defense Grid. Below you can read Callum's thoughts on why it's so great: Defense Grid: The Awakening is regarded as one of the best tower defense game on Steam, my experience with it has been extremely positive and can see why it is praised so highly. Many of the tower defense games try to implement some innovation or unique spin to the genre, but Defense Grid (DG
Stardock's own Callum McCole wrote this. Let's talk about how towers should work. TD Design Pillars - Meaningful Tower Variety For positioning and composition of towers to be meaningful, they need significant differences in their utility and characteristics, typically in the form of what creep types they are strong against but also other modifiers such as range, damage-over-time, splash damage, minimum range, and many ot
so I paid for a second copy? im a ashes founder and I paid 9.99 ? or is it payment to get into the beta? ( I remember the days when devs begged people to beta test their games for free) lol
Only lifetime (elite) Ashes founders get it. Not normal Ashes founders. So you may not have had to get a second copy.
Hi all! Ashes Elite Founders get Siege automatically. This is a separate game but in the Ashes universe. $9.99 gets you beta and the final release as well.
If you saw the movie, Matrix Revolutions, you could make the case that the battle for Zion was a movie version of tower defense. Siege of Centauri, in some respects, is that. You are dealing with massive armies of machines. And frankly, you are the only hope for the colonists. So what is Siege? It's in the tower defense genre to be sure but with a few twists: You don't get resources from killing enemies unless you place a spec
Greetings! Welcome to the Siege of Centauri forum!
I admit, I wanted SCO to be an actually-good Star Control 3 at first; the reboot has grown on me. That has meant getting used to the new aliens, and while we only get to encounter two of them in the beta...well, like I said, we seem to be in the hands of people who dug the original series. I felt right at home right away. The Tywon were goofy like Spathi, the Scryve were deadly like Ur-Quan, and their look reflected that quite w
Oh, and this runs, looking like this, on my Surface Pro 4.
this is all very disappointing...
Indeed.
Yea. Demigod was a bit too ahead of its time. If it had been released free to play... But I don't think Demigod is doomed. We hope to one day make a sequel.
The current plan is to support AI vs. AI battles because not everyone is going to want to fight the battles out in the adventure mode.
Aha. Here are some of the ideas. Go for it.
