Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

I really really really want to help. But I don't know anything about modding or anything. That might sound stupid but I am willing to learn. I am downloading Forge tool and trying to learn. I got some screenshots from the mod for everyone here, including the Drone weapons... which still sadly needs work. Anyhow, here is what I have done:

Daedalus. The Mesh is complete, but still having problems with the mesh ingame, hopefully I can figure it out. Here are a couple of shots of that work.




Plus a couple of other shots.




Also, been working on the Asuran Destroyer, which we have named Atropos. I gave it a basic texture for the moment, but it looks good from what I think, lol. Anyhow, make your own judgements.

Lol. Crap... And I just updated my English.str and renamed all the ships to go in line with some of the ones I already knew.

Just to put them out there, here is what I have to add to the pool for consideration.

I am new but I can help with design ideas. Before you guys ask me to do anything, I am terrible at actually creating things on the computer. I do know alot about the Goa'uld and I can start with that.

p.s. the asgard capitals should have the names of Norse gods.

neways The Asgard and Goa`uld will not be in this part of the mod as it is the Tauri / Wraith / Asurans (replicators). The Asgard , Goa`uld or free jaffa or w/e will be done once the pegasus side of the mod is completed and released. (See the very first post by EO on this as it explains it all ^^)

Races for the mod right now are:
Tau’ri
Asurans (replicators – not the Alterans, that is the Ancients)
Wraith

And for the Second part of the Project the following races will be added into the mod for the Milkyway Side:

Free Jaffa
The Lucien Alliance
And possibly the Asgard

For the Record, there will not be any Ori ships, we only see 1 cannon ship, and designs for them will be hard to come up with. Please do not ask for Ori ships, I will not be making/converting anything for them."


Also to anyone we still need people to create textures for the ships / structures etc etc so if your interested plz PM us !!!!!!

i've been trying to start my mods for the stargate theme but i've been struggling to find a ideal software to create mods for the sins of a solar empire... what the software you've been using for your impressive mods?

Hello.

First off, I just want to say thank you guys for putting forth the time and effort to make a mod of, in my opinion, one of the best Sci-Fi shows to ever grace TV. I'm a Stargate fan [Can't say just how much though. I might get wacked for it.].

Now, I'm sure you've had your fill of people offering help, but I'd like to put my name in the hat, if only so I might possible contribute to a mod that I will be eagerly awaiting.

Knowledge-wise, I'm almost a walking encyclopedia. This isn't so much a boast as it is a fact. I have a lot of free time on my hands and I would love to do what I can to help.

While I have a rendering program [Blender], I haven't been able to sit down and figure out exactly how it works. If anyone could show me, I'd love to help out on that front.

My AIM is Razor 5099. Easiest way to contact me, as I'm usually on for most of the day, even if I'm not actually there to reply.

well i only brought it up cos i noticed in the game there is no real size difference for capital ships, but then again my extent of modding is fairly haphazard and small scale. What i could help wiv is design stuff (i dont mean actuall designing on computers and such just ideas and rough sketches).

--USAF-Prometheus -- lol don’t worry about the scale, the reason why you cant really see any scale is those are model editor shots not in game ones, but believe me i say they are some really huge models in this game that just dwarf everything else!!!

Although if you look back a little you can see Asuran destroyers taking a wraith hive on so there is some scale there lol, and a few pictures above that you can see about 30 Daedalus class ships taking on 1 Asuran capital ship (the corona)

Since this question was raised in the Ancients Mod thread, I figured I would open it up to the floor here as well.

The Atlantis City Ship has the ability to expand its shields and protect other ships within range of the ability. This works more or less like the Iconus Guardian shield ability. The question, however is, how much of a % of the damage the shielded ships should share with the Atlantis' shields when they are hit? The Iconus ability transfers 33% of the damage to the Iconus' shields and currently the Atlantis ability does the same. I am thinking I will at least raise it to 50%, although if we go strictly by show cannon it should be 100%. I suspect 100% might be too powerful though. An Atlantis, as it stands right now, starts with about 25K shield points and fullly upgraded and leveled gets somewhere over 35K shield points.

Thoughts on the matter?

dolynick - im not really sure how well this would work not knowing much about the game's limitations but iv'e always thought Wraith repair cruisers should be sort of spidery, reparing ships from above. also any sabotage drones for its attack would look a bit like ancient drones only more organic and very spiny (and probably not glowing).
