Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

I know that this will be immediately rejected and such, but combining the Ancients, Asgard and the Tau'ri into one faction may not be too bad an idea. If you think about it, the Tau'ri have... simple... ships that barely pass as a threat, placing them well as frigates. The Asgard, as powerful as they are, still don't have all to many powerful ships, but still enough to get them by as powerful cruisers. Ancients? Well, they have ships that definitely classify as capital ships.

Now that doesn't mean that the fanon content already completed cannot be fit in. I am just suggesting that the Tau'ri are the next holders of the Ancient's flame (as the Asgard had been, as well) and used quite a bit of Asgard and Ancient technology, especially since they were allies to every extent.

Yes, I have been playing too much Stargate Empire at War for FoC.

This is basically what's going to happen. But not really the way you want I think. Though there will be no Asgard and Ancient ships for the Tau'ri, (with a few possible exceptions. i.e. Aurora) much of the Tau'ri's power comes from research subjects using Ancient and Asgard technology. I'm sure several ships will have some Asgard or Ancient design aspects to them.

I am planning a strong planetary defense for the Tau'ri that uses a similar design to the Ancient's super-satellite weapon. It will have a bit of an Ancient look to it(hopefully) and use a similar beam type weapon. Though, it will be a lot weaker than the actual satellite. It won't be able to kill one ship instantly, but will be able to withstand a little more than the the satellite in the show. I am currently putting the final touches on the research tree as it stands now and more info will come shortly.

So as first change in your mod you should change the wraight hive (it looks made in lego) secondly if you want we have the Poseidon and the Achilles coming up as for the basic ship of all the other races.

Just a little to add,
The Satellite weapon in the show was not only 10,000 years old but also badly damaged and probably had shields.

See heres the thing Piper i know you think your awesome and good but next time you get an idea and i want you take this to heart first think about what your gonna say, then call yourself a retard, then look for the closest person have them call you a retard and then think some more (i know its hard for you but yeah try it anyways) and then take that idea and shove it where the sun dont shine because people like you dont just make my good friend EO angry but you do indeed slow down the progress of all mankind so again next time you think stop yourself before you look like a tard

Ok Piper, Im willing to work with you, but when you go and say things like this, it kinda makes me want to think twice about doing so. That Hive is version 1 of the model, the new model is a lot better being that we have more polies to work with. Please refrain from making rants like this, it makes our team feel like you are taking a dump on us, which isn't cool.

Having won a Lego contest, I'm qualified to say that it does not look like it was made out of Lego's. :) Aside from the dark atmospheric qualities of the screen shots you posted, I'd have figured it was final.

Piper, anal-retentive. Look it up. You seriously need to take a chill pill, when you go nurse Ratchet on other peoples work it's just going to hurt your own mod in the popularity department. If you have constructive criticism, it needs to be given politely, and without grotesque exaggeration.

This is constructive, i don't want to be in anyway mean with you, I just want to say that it needs... in facts the only things he needs is to re work those things on the rear sides, more included in the ship because the main structure is really great.

Anyway if you consider it like your last shots, it's it's just my opinion.

I'm sorry if you thought that it was to take you down, it was just an opinion do whatever you want with it.

UPDATE:
I finally had enough free time to get some stuff done. I've added a lot of new research and changed a few values from previous research.

I've overhauled all of the hit effects. Some of them you will be able to distinguish from previous overhauls, others maybe not.

Redid to the Missile Smoke thanks to Lost_Wld for the help on that.

Added new Wraith Hive Explosion. In the serious, when a Hive blows up a blue shock wave is emitted. The effect I have now is the closest thing to a noticeable shock wave.

Yes, I realize the Hive's shield doesn't fit and is green. The shield mesh has not been created yet, and the shield color will be altered at a later point. The color is still set to the default Advent color which, apparently is green. This is only noticeable because I have changed the Shield Pipeline effect for a later point in the mod. The Tau'ri, though have better looking shields since they are blue instead of puke green.

And, of course, any and all comments and constructive criticism is welcome.

At long last, another video:
-I apologize for the lag in the video. I'm not sure why it's doing that. It only lags when I have Fraps recording, so I don't think my particle count is too high, but I will double check it just in case.

Here is a new model I have been working on, started out as a replica of a model from Empire Earth I started ages ago, and started to rebuild it to make it high poly, and then, before i added the detail, it hit me... make it Wraith. lol so here it is, starting from the begining.

Anyway derbal213, When I said for two bc304s to be able to kill a hive when fully upgraded and only sustain minor damage....Um one exploding and the other barely surviving isn't what I meant. :p
But thats just me.

Ha. Your research tree was the entire basis for mine, but I'm going to be moving some stuff around. For your efforts in the research tree, I am greatly thankful.

As for the balance of the mod...
I realize it still needs to be balanced better and will work on that more later. The main focus of that video was to show off the effects I've created thus far. And the scene with the 304's vs. the Hive was merely to show off the missile smoke and the explosions from the missiles.

I also want to take this time to add a couple things to my previous post regarding the research. Shields for all of the Tau'ri ships are going to, initially, be really low. But the first shield research is a Tier 1 research with an extremely cheap prerequisite. It will be easy to get at the start of the game and will increase shields by 25%.
-Also, all shield researches have a prerequisite that relatively follows a time line similar to the shows.
-Goa'uld shields -->Asgard Shields -->Ancient Shields.
-We started our ships off with technology reversed engineered from Goa'uld design, then got some help from the Asgard, finally discovering Atlantis and taking some of their designs.


-Finally, I will be working really hard to get a lot done for the mod in the next week before I leave on vacation. And for a week, I will have some time to work on my laptop while on vacation. Then, in about two weeks, I will post again with all progress I've made to further the mod. After that post, though, I will be entirely out of contact for about 3-4 weeks and will not have access to my computer.
-If anyone is interested, I would like someone to work with me during the next week and possibly the week after (depending on whether I have internet access on vacation). Then, when I am gone, they could help EO with some of the coding aspects.

Anyways, I have no idea if this works with what you've got planned already but here it is.

Working, standalone SG Ancients (full unique entities for the entire fleet, research trees and abilities):

It is in desparate need of some unique models. Particularly for the Atlantis City Ship capital.

I was toying with moving on to the Wraith, Asgard or Gua'uld next - if I'm satisfied with the balance of the Ancients as they stand so far.

Hey guys, please make sure to remember some of the buildings aswell yeah? Like the Ancient satelite that owned the wraith the first time they came at Atlantis. That would be an awesome weapon in sins. for the asurans you can have the city itself mabey? now that would be a site to see in game.
