Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

has anyone tried contacting the team that did the stargate mod for star wars: empire at war, forces of corruption and seeing if you could use any of their models? They did a huge and working mod that was pretty damn awsome.

we have thought about it, but in the end decided to just start making our own models, that way there is no need to run around for permissions, except for on the things that absolutely need it. We have been working on some new stuff for the Tau'ri, but as of right now they are classified, so you will have to wait on another update.

Have you come up with a model for the stargate yet, because if you have pictures would be nice (i mean really cool)
Anyway if you haven't you should try using the advent's cap. ship factory, I looked at it one time and thought it would make an awesome stargate it even has a part in the ring where you can put symbols- anyway just a thought.

Hello,
In case any of you were wondering, I have been very busy lately and have not posted much pertaining to this mod. This is because I haven't gotten anything done, but now I am starting to free up some time again and should get around to getting some things done.

Tonight, I have added in the Ancient research tree for the Tau'ri. I will go more in-depth later along with screen shots.
Along with this, I have renamed the "Combat" title of the research window to "Alien." This is where all of the Alien information and technology will be researched for the Tau'ri. I am currently still in need of a third subject of research for the "Alien" section, so if you have any ideas at all, please post them.

I have also begun balancing the Hive against the BC304 using stock 304, Asgard Beam 304, and Nuke-beaming 304, and completely researched 304. Basically, I made sure the stock 304 just gets crushed by the Hive. With just the Asgard Beams, it puts up a much better fight, and completely research and outfitted, one 304 can pretty much take a Hive down, but not entirely.
-I'm using the Hive and 304 as a basis for balancing since they are featured in the shows, which gives me more information to work with.

-On a smaller note, I redid the autocannon hit effects to produce slightly larger explosions that are much more noticeable than the vanilla effects.

As I finish more, I will try and post a screen shot or two and maybe a video with a battle between the Hive and a 304.

By the way you should at least make BC304s strong enough that two of them can easily (with minimal damage) take out a wrath hive with Asgard beam weapons.... (please).

What tree's do you currently have in the alien tree?

As you could have one for gou'ald , asgard and ancient technologies.

For example, drones, for ancients, shields and crystal tecnologies (like improving "antimatter" regen or turning speed due ot increase efficency) for the gou'ald. And beam weapon and sheilds and hyperdrives for asgard.

Here some more technology and abilities ideas I had after looking at Bloodfang99's list. I haven't figured out at what level you research them or specifically what they do but here are some general ideas. In parenthesis are where i got the ideas from or logic behind the ability.


Tau'ri-
Technologies:
-Horizon Weapon System- increase planetary bombing damage (used against asuran homeworld to destroy the ships they were building)
-Naquahdah generator- minor increase to shields and weapons damage
-Anti-replicator satellite weapon- planetary turret defense? (asgard gave the humans one to defend the alpha site)

Abilities:
-Wraith Retrovirus- Take control of wraith ship for a shirt time? disable wraith ship for a short time? (virus converts wraiths to humans but only for a while without regular doses)
-Anti-replicator weapon- disable target replicator ship? destroy target replicator ship?
-Chimera Project- create a holographic double of a ship for a short time (earth project to create holograms using Asgard technology)


Wraith-

Technologies:
-Enhanced Neural Interface: increased maneuverability? increased weapons damage? (wraith operate their ships through neural interface, better interface=better control+targeting)

Abilities:
-Hallucination Generator: disable crew of a target ship for a short time i.e. disable engines and weapons? (seen in episode "Phantoms", makes humans have real-feeling delusions)
-Stun bomb: disable crew of target ship for a short time (used against SGC in wraith invasion)


Asuran-

Technologies:
-Satellite Laser Weapon- planetary defense turret?

Abilities:
-Ship construction- captial ship can create frigates or cruisers when near a metal asteroid, would be a little slower/more expensive than using a ship factory? (replicators can replicate if they have materials)


Asgard- (I realize they won't be in this version but ideas for the future)

Technologies:
-Cloning- increase population for planets
-Mind Transferal- decrease cost of research? decrease time it takes to research? (don't have to train new scientists to continue research because they never die)

Abilities:
-Time Dilation Device- Reduce damage take by a ship for a short time? Increase firing rate of target ship? (when time slows down for you it takes longer for enemy weapons to hit or you can fire more times in a given period)

For balancing purposes, both could be simple disabling abilities. The Wraith return to Wraith form, the Replicators figure out how to block the signal and rebuild themselves.

Its a good idea, but Atlantis will be for the Asurans Only. The Capital Ship Colony has now been taken over by the Destiny, I forgot to update the thread.
