Humility such as this should be contagious. I wish Stardock, and Frogboy, the best.

Poor Xerox Parc.
I've never seen an 'honest' commercial, so what's the point to all this? I think they are quite funny. To be funny there has to be some element of truth to twist.
Wii. You will be holding your revolutionary controller just like you hold your Wii. It's all coming clear now.
I agree. One of the best VDM's on the market for Windows. If anyone is really interested in using a VDM, this is a must try.
Once again, another ObjectDesktop item that doesn't know about muli-monitor setups. It's very nice, and I might give up Altdesk for this however before I do stickiness needs to be added. I like my iTunes, the real iTunes, on every desktop I visit. Don't get me wrong, I really like the update. It's very usable now. I just complain a lot. Thanks for the update!
I learned a couple of things today. One, that Icons are easier than I thought to make (however I have zero talent therfore 'easy' has been cancelled out) and two, someone actually uses CorelDraw.
Why does FireFox have to dominate? Why can't it be a niche player? What's so wrong with being Niche? As long as FireFox continues to be a quality product, people will use it.
Bahaves like an app written for the Mac. I like...
All I want to know is why do these effects work perfectly well on my 466Mhz Mac with its 16Mb AGP/Rage 128Pro video card and similar effects bring screen redraws to a craw on my 1.7Ghz PC with a Matrox G450 dualhead? Is Quartz that much more superior to the method MS uses to draw windows? I mean, it seems that every single effect that is trying to be duplicated on the PC that works flawlessly on the Mac is sluggish. Heck, when I drag a window across an ObjectDock dock the dragging pro
And the Liberals cry about the ''bias" of Fox news? The "new media" needs to take a close look at what has happened with CBS. This can happen just as quickly to them if they are not careful.
Well, if Intel moves away from x86 and the rest of the industry follows suit with Intel, (which is very likely), AND Intel has a lock on the design which could prevent AMD from cloning, I would have to worry about the long-time viability of AMD. Everyone take a step back and remember these times for AMD. These days may be the greatest days AMD will ever see. Now lets kick back and see what history has in store for them.
RC1 seems to have improved with Altdesk and the problem it had with ODP loking up at 100%. It might be too early to tell, but so far so good. I have switched desktops about 20 times consecutively with apps minimized and not with total success... Is there any way to keep minimized application images from resetting to the icon when a desktop is changed? Does nVidia's VWM have this issue too?
Why is it that Apple gets SH!7 thrown at them everytime they try to protect their property? After all, Apple doesn't force you to use their software. Who pressed "agree" anyway? I'm one for compatibility too however I'm also one for the freedom to do with what you want with the property no matter what anyone thinks, presuming no laws are being broken. I'm sure Real feels the same regarding their property however I think they have to be breaking some law with what they are doi
Go Kerrush. They are both stupid idiots. Great flick...
Cool. This page shows screenshots of Longhorn and their Expose. They claim MS ripped Apple or Sun, not that I care. http://www.apple-x.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=923 If this is MS's Expose, it's pretty cool, but not as useful. It just proves my opinion though. That these GUI technologies (Quartz, Aero, Looking Glass) are only setting the stage for parties like Stardock to take advantage of them, even if the ideas themselves are nothing more than n
"Funny... the reason why M$ closed the door to open betas of Longhorn is because Apple completely ripped off the "Exposé" feature and claimed that M$ was copying them." Please provide your source. I am actually quite interested. I believe Microsoft's Aero technology is equivalent to Quartz. Being that Expose is possible in it's present form due to the existence of Quartz, I don't see how Apple ripped a potential use for Quartz from MS when MS doesn't even have a shipping tech
"And as rkadowns demonstrates correclty above, if you play the prior art game, things can get totally ridiculous." Exactly, and is why I think that by you bringing up this topic is so ridiculous. You can't have it both ways. You can't complain that Apple ripped from Konfab or MS and then say it's okay that you ripped from the Apple Dock. These stupid banners Apple presented as WWDC is just an attempt at humor. Everybody knows that the copying goes both ways between Redmond and Cupert
Tab LaunchPad = System 7 Launcher. http://www.graphixmad.plus.com/mac_troubleshooter/pic_CP_launcher.html System 7 was released in 1991. Launcher is prior art in my opinion. http://www.mac512.com/system.htm This whole argument is stupid. The fact is with Tiger I get a lot of this stuff MS is working on long beforehand and in typical Apple fashion. I don't care about Dashboard or even iChat. Spotlight rules and I would bet that even MS won't do it this well in 2006 (
Being I have used for so long a browser other than IE, I am only today learning of the demise of WebBlinds. A question I have, being that I will be forced to use IE more often than I would like as of now is if WebBlinds is now gone, is there an Object Desktop replacement for its pop-up blocking functionality? Also, what was the reason for discontinuing it anyway? Thanks in advance. <img src="http://
Does anyone know how to get a single wallpaper to span across two monitors? The Mac does this with ease however I don't know how to accomplish the same task on a PC. Is it even possible?
