. . . And, while you're at it, have yourself a little bit of "Be-bop-a-re-bop" rhubarb pie. :D RR

There are certain events that only occur when you have a high investment in espionage, and others (bad ones) that occur when you don't have a high investment. I gained some tech one time through an event that I believe was possible because I was continually investing in espionage against the @#$% Arceans. RR
Getting the galactic zoo isn't necessarily the bonus you might think. Escapes have been known to happen . . .. RR
Oh, and "Manos" is the king, although the giant spinning turtle whose name escapes me at the moment was cool, too. RR
A word of advice: don't try to start a thread like this on a MST3K fan site, especially the official one (if it's still around). They had so many flame wars that started with innocuous "Who was better -- Joel or Mike?" posts that most of them now ban such posts. That said, I'm not sure it's even fair to judge between J & M; the show was in different phases and they had different material to work with. That said, I think Joel probably had more memorable moments. It's a toss-up between
I have yet to see the evil interface. I like the good one, anyway. RR
In my latest game, I have managed to play most of the civilizations off of each other long enough to grab a commanding military lead. The Yor made the fatal mistake of attacking me, and now I am crushing them like the bugs they would be if they weren't cybernetic beings. I am having to keep my eye on the Arceans, though; those guys are a pain in the neck. The Drengin aren't doing well this time around. Speaking of the Drengin, though, does anyone know how to pronounce the word? Is i
Bookworm?
You don't like the good/evil skins? I love them. For my part, I wish they'd let me type in numbers for Espionage and Destabilization; the sliders don't give enough control. I haven't tried using a mousewheel on them yet, though; maybe I'll give that a shot tonight. RR
This doesn't answer your GC question, but I have my work mouse set to left-handed and my home mouse set to right-handed to try to stave off the wrist and hand problems. Take your pain seriously; RSI is nothing to toss off lightly. RR
You know, I don't think I have ever heard the phrase "I bent my Wookie" before. :D RR
"They didn't suddenly turn good, they grovel a lot when you're *much* bigger than they are. " Yeah, they get all friendly when you can beat them to a nice, smooth, juicy pulp. But don't turn your back on them. RR
Too bad they don't have a "shooting envy rays from eyes" smiley. My latest game had a not-so-hotso starting position. If I can just whip the Yor, though, I'll by golden. I'm glad you enjoyed your game, though. I always like to pull for fellow Terran emperors. RR
I, too, loathe the Arceans. They seem to always be the first ones to try to extort from me. I *will* have my revenge. As a matter of fact, I've already had my revenge. They paid through the nose for peace after I obliterated most of their navy. Now their relationship with me is "Warm." Isn't that touching? RR
I haven't had the heart to go evil yet. I keep trying, but then I think, "That's 10 billion people getting killed!" or whatever. Even though they're just virtual people, I still have a hard time. I'm really gonna do it next game, though. Really I am. RR
I have, but only on one of the lower difficulty levels. I hear it's a lot harder to do on the higher difficulties, as some of the other races can get very aggressive. And I can never hear that song any more without thinking of Jackie Chan trying to sing it in "Rush Hour." LOL RR
I got my copy from EB, since they were the first to get it in my town. Congratulations on the success, Brad. I hope it makes y'all enough to buy yourselves a Ferrari. Or maybe an Avatar. :CONGRAT: RR
I have on occasion used a minor race to keep an enemy or two busy, but I don't think I've used one in the sort of preemptive fashion you tried. I love selling trade goods to minor civilizations; you can amass a pretty good bankroll that way. RR
I've seen destabilization work well, but it can be a subtle and long-term thing. It's a decent way to chip away at a rival empire's morale. I always find it satisfying when a star system takes the plunge and rejects their brethren. RR
"Why not just keep the windowed version running at work like I do?" Don't tempt me. I already have it installed. All it would take would be to plug in the headphones and fire it up . . . Must . . . not . . . touch . . . headphones . . . Aaagh! :) RR
Does anyone know how well GC is selling? I'm not looking for detailed sales figures -- I'm just curious as to whether it is selling as well as was expected. I would think from the reviews and ratings it should be doing very well so far. RR
"Brad Wardell: Even though the Bradians didn't make it, the Wardell system exists." It certainly does, and in my current game it is the heart of the Yor empire. I hates 'em, I does. Yessss, precioussss. We hates them. I can't answer your question, but I'll try to look around for some more tie-ins when I get home from work and fire up the game. RR
I don't think so, but I wish it did. I thought it would be cool to be able to have a ship's repair rate increased whil it is parked in orbit -- especially in a system with a shipyard or starship foundry. On the other hand, I can see where that sort of thing might easily lend itself to cheesy abuse. RR
"Party Palace Terror Stars?" As Dave Barry would say, that would be a great name for a rock band! :D RR
For my part, I'd like to know what the icon is on the "Manufacturing Might" mini-graph button. All I can get out of it is a guy in a trench coat and sunglasses -- sort of an "Inspector Gadget." RR
