Not to sound whiny, but a Question

But I haven't noticed de-stabilization efforts DO anything. I've only seen two break away empires, (You know like the "Terran Confederation") and I'd like to see more. Prehaps somone has better knowledge of the triggers than I. I think the main problem is the I-League. Unhappies go there first. You'd think a very powerful empire could, if they tried hard enough, make a smaller empire spilt

I'm not asking anyone to increase the rate at which empires dessent. But I'm (almost) quitely sulking for the lack of ability to invoke a civil war.

I've seen destabilization work well, but it can be a subtle and long-term thing. It's a decent way to chip away at a rival empire's morale. I always find it satisfying when a star system takes the plunge and rejects their brethren.

You have to invest a LOT of money to create a noticeable effect. When the target empire has 300 billion population, a mere 30,000 BC is not going to make a dent. Lower your spending, max out that destabilization slider, then wait. It's not exactly a fast acting process, so don't expect miracles. Would be nice if the game gave us some feedback on destabilization progress of course.

Precisely. Destabilization is a long term strategy but it is devastating.
