So why not make the damage done proportunaly to how close to victory you came (rounded down)? If you send one troop you can't do any damage. If you kill 15,000 out of 20,000 then you do 75% of the listed planatary damage of the invasion type. If you win the invasion you do the full devestation. I don't see any room for cheese.

FYI population does not increase you ability to build things, it just gives you more money. you could have 10 factories and 1 billion and have huge production, but that planet is spending money made on other planets or using up your treasury. Or you could have 2 factories and and 20 billion and get huge taxes and support your other plants but have low production on that world.

I don't get it, why do you turn off allience victory then? By the time the galaxy is controlled by only you and your allies you have clearly won. why not declare victory?

In an older version of the game I got an event where the terrens leader got assasinated, and a new regiem took over and had a huge supply of crappy ships all over the universe out of nowhere. It also changed my allience with then to a war. Maybe this event is happening but its between to AI's so it doesnt tell you the event? Where all the ships pretty crappy, and called 'vengence' or something like that?

I think I read somewhere, Frogboy said he wrote them all himself. I doubt they got more then a 2nd look for editing. Personally I think they are cute and funny. Kinda like in Diablo II where the programers did the voices for the cow level. They were so bad they were hilarious.

So you say your income is huge. Can you give some rough numbers? 1000? 5000? 10,000? I have never gotten trade higher then about 1000. Usually its about 500 when im not trying, but just want to use it for deplomacy.

At minimum play on tough before complaining, and I'd personally say play at suicidal before you complain the game is too easy. Your only valid complaint is the AI should not build reseach buildings on battle of the Gods mode. (Maybe one or two civs like the iconians should still reaserch and go for a tech win.)

if both ships are destroyed does the "winner" matter at all? And there are random variables so about half the time your going to lose that fight because you do less then 10 damage. (by lose I mean be destroyed and he is not destroyed) And if he had defenses then your really in trouble.

I think some interesting options could be added to the game without drastic changes. The major change would be allowing retreat. Also you could add a little rock paper siccors gussing, everyone likes that. You get to choose one option at the beginning of the fight and then watch it battle out. The options would be: 1)Full Retreat - would be obviouly your ships all immediatly retreat and dont fire a shot. Your opponent gets one free volley on your ships. 2) Stategic ret

The comp won't pay very much for influence from you generally. And I have had a civ on the brink of destrusction sell me all their influence realitivly cheap. Although that was a few patchs ago. Also influence that you can trade and vote with is not exactly the same as influence you take over the galaxy with. You populations influence generates influence points every turn. These points last forever and are your votes and can be traded permanently. However everyones always generat

If there are enough planets then the rush will stop before they are all taken. The 12 maintanence per colony can really add up and eventually you just have to wait for you population to grow to increase your tax base before you can afford to colonize more. If you want to take out the rush, then reduce everyone's starting money. This cash balloon at the beginning is what allows the rush. Make the starting money zero and see what happens. If thats not enough you could also

Ignuss, what does that do? does that change the actual goverment bonuses or just the descriptions in the tech screen?

3 Replies 5,631 Views

Yeah the point is they are destructive. I think they should be an evil only tech with no good alternitive. And building one should make you lose a lot of relations with all good and neutral civs. I mean, war is one thing, people will regrow, but eliminating a habital planet cripples the galaxy as a whole, good and neutral should be very upset at that.

Anyway, these resources give a significant advantage in ship attack and defense which is like being significantly farther in the military tech trees then you actually are. Also it's cheaper to build in imposing military so people don't go to war with you.

So what does it do when it knows what your doing? Do all the AI's attack you to try and kill you before you transend reality? It's a little weird from a "Role playing vs Game play" perspective. Maybe races could start demanding that you share the tech victory techs you have researched or they declare war. Like, "We see your races is moving towords a superior state of being. We think it is very selfish of you to not share this technology with the entire galaxy
