Unless you are a graphics designer, I just don't see how the cost of Photoshop can be worth it. Have a look at Photoshop Elements, maybe.

This menu only shows up if you have desktopx hide all of your regular desktop icons. Frankly, if the regular icons are hidden, there isn't anything in the regular right-click menu that is of any use to your desktopx desktop.

I have come to grps with the fact that I have a non-sexual crush on Dangeruss. I find myself checking for new stuff by him on deviantat almost daily. I only wish he worked with DX rather than hoverdesk so I wouldn't have to port so much. I guess I can't have everything.

It could be that their zip software is recognizing the file for what it is, a renamed .zip file. They should be able to just rename it to .dxtheme and have it work fine.

There is one for DX The problem with plugins is that the format recently changed, so there are fewer designed for the current DX.

If you can't skin, do what I do - Port! I have a couple things uploaded, but they are ports of excellent hoverdesk or litestep themes to desktopx. You get to serve the community and people think you actually have talent! Just get permission...

The next (probably) version of desktopx will have dxscript, which will allow you to use javascript or vbscript within objects. You might just want to wait for that.

I think they are working on making DesktopX use COM. There was a document called "the future of desktopx" that Frogboy put out a while ago. It showed the calendar from outlook embedded in the desktop using COM. I think this would allow the kind of thing you are talking about, but not until future versions.
