[6.2] Did the game became more unstable, or is it just me?

in comparison to earlier 6.x opt-ins i don't get any semi predictable crashes from invasions, but it the seems to crash much more often. it almost always happen when i have something idle (planet/ship etc.) and click at the idle x button in the lower right of the main screen.

 

i never had these problems with the 6.2 opt-in, this was very recently with the 6.2 release version. the 6.2 opt-in was very stable for me. i also made sure to start a new game.

 

anyone made similar observations?

No I haven't noticed it becoming any less stable.

Not to say it might not have become less stable on some PCs and more stable on others, such is the fun of PC development, they might for example have fixed some graphical glitch and your driver doesn't like the fix while others are fine with it.

It's perfectly stable here..with graphic options on high, and without the trails since hat hasn't been solved yet. Only had one small crash in over 500 turns. Also seems the speed has improved a lot in late game turns

i renamed the old galciv3 folder in mygames and disabled cloud saves in steam and so far it seems stable. hope it stays this way

Interesting are you playing on single or multiplayer, be an interesting issue if it's the steam cloud saves, I have them on and no issues but it might depend how stable you network connection is if it's that.

i just did this according to derek. i can't find his post anymore though. i would assume that it is ship designs or custom races or any other user data that is not compatible between 6.2 opt-in and the 6.2 release version.

The latest patch seems a bit slower to me (e.g. longer load times), but not more unstable.
