Robin Williams is Gone…at age 63

Robin Williams is Gone…at age 63

Robin Williams…the funniest comedian and fine actor is gone. He died this morning.

Lately he’d gone into rehab to help him deal with Depression.

I’m sure we all have great memories of him in his routines, in Mork and Mindy…Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting…

I’ll never forget what he did for Christopher Reeves and his family.

Anyway, a true great is gone. I’m having a really hard time wrapping my head around this one.

Rest in Peace, Robin. Thank you for the insane laughter and incredible insights…you great person, you.

The Fisher King was genius. He was a scream in Bird Cage. He could do serious roles very well, too.
One hour Photo...he was so great in this, it was creepy. Good Morning, Vietnam, Dead Poets Society... Old Dogs ( loved it, what a hoot!) ......and on and on. He always had something to say. <3

A part of me has died as well. He and I are same age, and we both struggle with chronic depression. He was very intelligent - so the 'ignorance is bliss' effect did not dull his sense of how nasty this world can be. Laughter is great medicine for this. He became an expert. But in solitude, the depression gets you bad. He had it bad. RIP Robin Williams, I will miss you, badly.

:'( I was shocked when my nephew told me yesterday. So sad..... Shame he couldn't get help sooner, depression is a more a fact of life than most people realize. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary situation. <X3 He will keep Heaven laughing. R.I.P. Robin Peter Pan never has to grow up.

Gotta admit, I am having a hard time believing this

He was an exceptionally big human being, with the heart of a child and an inspiring passion for making people laugh.

The world actually feels a lot smaller now

like a family member has passed.

I'm just so thankful that we have as many movies as we do to remember his world-winning smile by.

Just finished watching Hook :') and

I'm callin it - August 11th is now officially Robin Williams day. Everybody watch your favorite Williams flick in commemoration, and no matter how old you are, all day, be a kid. "No growing up."

You can do that last little bit every day if you want..

Thanks for constantly reminding us of this Robin.

^ Great idea, cardinaldirection. It doesn't have any other dedication (international) so it should be.

This is definitely sad news. While I may still be considered as "young" by many, I do at least understand and relate to the depression.

Regardless, he was a funny, funny man and shall always be remembered for the great laughter.

RIP, Robin.

Robin William will be missed by both young and old. He was a great actor and those of us who have seen Mrs Doubtfire will always remember him with a smile. May he rest in peace.

That really is impressive. Thanks, syd and JC.

I was surprised a bit to see that the artist (right handed) used pencils and started on the right side...

I would have thought she'd have started on the left side of his face to avoid smudging...but, when you're that good, I guess you can keep your hand in the air and do it...

for quite a bit of it, she had a white rectangular piece of paper under the palm of her hand....

just mind boggling to watch it take shape...

You are welcome Syd and Doc.

I just watched the documentary Robin Williams Remembered on PBS. It was excellent and I would suggest that everyone try to find a copy of it. Its a great watch.
