Here we go:  there aren't alot of demigod clans out there.  The game CURRENTLY has less than 500 people that play together at any given time online.  I can't back that number up, but I think that's fairly reasonable based on what I've seen.  Out of those 500 or so players, many of those players many have bad connections and some outright cheat.  You probably don't want to play with them.  I probably don't either.  So, getting a group of people together that don't cheat or have bad connections is a pretty good idea IMO.  Plus, coordinating a team in demigod is MUCH easier if you have voicechat.  Let's do that too. So - players with good connections + players that use voicechat (at least to listen in) = clan pacov.  Its pretty much an all welcome scenario so long as you fit that criteria.  Here's the info you need to join voicechat:

Once you join the vent, PM someone in clan pacov.  Each of our channels are password protected but there are plenty of public channels to idle in and people clan pacov check out the pub channels from time to time.

Here's what we deliver.  You get more balanced games with people that don't cheat.  I regularly balance games out to encourage more people to play with and against us.  

Ask questions if you have them and any clan pacov specific discussions belong here (casual, serious, etc).

Clan Pacov Mission Statement:

Clan pacov isn't about forming team super premade.  Its about frequently getting fun games going and occassionally getting some really competitive games going as well.  We welcome like minded, non-devisive individuals interested in playing games on a semi-regular basis.  We don't welcome people who cheat at games.  We will mix up teams to make things fun.  We will all generally be using voicechat.  We will play with and against each other.  We will play with and against other clans.

FYI - the clan channel is most active between 6PM-2AM EST daily, but people are on all hours of the days

I am gaming pretty much at night only.  9 pm or later.  I have too many commitments at home to get on any earlier.

Saturday I may actually have a window at 2:00 PM though.  I have been leaving myself in vent whenever I am on at night so feel free to get in touch.  Even if someone wanted to get a small refresher game in I'm game.

so... I didn't play demigod again tonight.  Hopefully tomorrow.  I got sucked into bioshock 2... oh... btw, bioshock 2.  I beat it in < 12 hours total.  Not a very long game.  Fun, though.

Hehe... just glad its another game I can cross of my list of way too many freaking games... Lousy game kited me and kept me playing until 2:30am yesteday... here I am at work now... quite tired.  Great job with pacing at the end of the game, though.  I got a great deal on the game thanks to jon buying a 4 pack off steam, but as I don't much care for the MP aspect of the game (although its somewhat what interesting), I probably would have been better off renting it, beating the game, and then moving on.

Tough to say this weekend.  I will check on vent around 1:30 or so Saturday afternoon and "possibly" late night as well. 

Since it is valentines eve on Saturday we are doing the dinner thing then.  A superb little restaurant in Mason, Ohio called the Wildflower Cafe'.  This guy and his wife renovated an old house downtown into a small restaurant (seats 32).  He does as much local food/drink as he is able to and keeps everything organic.  (I am not organic hard-core - just throwing out there his philosophy).  The meals I have eaten there have been fantastic and well worth the price.  Also, it is very nice to see that the owner/chef also brings out your food and takes time to stand/sit and talk with you when things quiet down.

Anyhow, he is doing a formal dinner for valentines with one seating through the night.  So 32 people total all night and he is doing it up nice.  I am very much looking fwd: to the dinner.  If you ever get into the northern Cincinnati area check it out...

linky?  ds mod? I'm on board for sins at some point tomorrow.  I'm taking monday off work, so late night gaming is an option.  I'm not sure if/when I'll be on during the day tomorrow due to valentines day.  #1 on my list of games to play with you folks is sins atm. 

so... beat bioshock 2.  about halfway through mirrors edge... waiting for final version bfbc2 to come out... debating about getting aliens vs pred.  I didn't really enjoy the MP aspect.  etc.

DS=Distant Stars it doubles most research, balances units, adds new planet types, changes how max allegience is etc. heres link, http://distantstars.mmobase.com/

Distant Stars is great for Single Player but it's multiplayer utility is... rather scary. Random Maps are TOTALLY decided based on your planet rolls since DS adds a lot of uncolonizable planets and even planets that are BAD to colonize.

It also makes the game about 50% longer (which is good for SP, bad for MP. At least in my opinion. 90-120 minute games are something you can expect from Sins. No RTS should have 3+ hour games).

Nacey added a balanced resource map it looks mostly fair for each side but I dunno....(Barren planets ftl X| ) I've always loved long matches in rts games, but I understand shorter matches in multiplayer would be better for everyone. Yeah they nerfed Illums. They decreased their intended dps by 25%. The real issue with illums, however, was that they dealt double damage -.- So yeah. They are roughly a third as strong as they were before and roughly on part with the rest of the LRFs.

They have less range but sidebeams to compensate. Beams > missles because of travel time and the fact you can waste a missle on an enemy that was going to die before you launched it. And they still have more dps than the other LRFs, they just come later of course.

Oh... beat mirror's edge.  Short game, but fun.  Me n Kalel installed all of the Dawn of War 1 games in case anyone wants to join us.  I am great at RTS games and kalel is somewhat new to the genre an learning.
