Here we go:  there aren't alot of demigod clans out there.  The game CURRENTLY has less than 500 people that play together at any given time online.  I can't back that number up, but I think that's fairly reasonable based on what I've seen.  Out of those 500 or so players, many of those players many have bad connections and some outright cheat.  You probably don't want to play with them.  I probably don't either.  So, getting a group of people together that don't cheat or have bad connections is a pretty good idea IMO.  Plus, coordinating a team in demigod is MUCH easier if you have voicechat.  Let's do that too. So - players with good connections + players that use voicechat (at least to listen in) = clan pacov.  Its pretty much an all welcome scenario so long as you fit that criteria.  Here's the info you need to join voicechat:

Once you join the vent, PM someone in clan pacov.  Each of our channels are password protected but there are plenty of public channels to idle in and people clan pacov check out the pub channels from time to time.

Here's what we deliver.  You get more balanced games with people that don't cheat.  I regularly balance games out to encourage more people to play with and against us.  

Ask questions if you have them and any clan pacov specific discussions belong here (casual, serious, etc).

Clan Pacov Mission Statement:

Clan pacov isn't about forming team super premade.  Its about frequently getting fun games going and occassionally getting some really competitive games going as well.  We welcome like minded, non-devisive individuals interested in playing games on a semi-regular basis.  We don't welcome people who cheat at games.  We will mix up teams to make things fun.  We will all generally be using voicechat.  We will play with and against each other.  We will play with and against other clans.

FYI - the clan channel is most active between 6PM-2AM EST daily, but people are on all hours of the days

I finally got a game of sins in with hedgie and mac. we did 3 humans vs unallied ais. Should have been a joke, but me and mac struggle a little bit. Hedgie did just fine Looking forward to more games. My current fav is bfbc2 atm though.

I'll look for some DG games tonight but will also be open to some Sins if there is interest. 

Frogboy's summary write-up was very informative.  I was thinking that there would not be many MP changes with Diplomacy but it seems that I was wrong.

Weekends might be best for sins.  I tend to agree.  If you see me on, no harm in asking if I'm up for a pick up game.  I'll prob say yes. 

I played some bfbc2 today.  Trouser, jon, paint, and wallstop have it.  I'll probably play it a few more days until I have all of the beta unlocks and then give it a rest until the non beta version is released.  I'm still enjoying this quite a bit, but the 1 game mode and 1 map in the beta gets a wee bit repetitive... 

Jon, kalel, trouser, and pacov all picked up bioshock 2 today.  They are playing it as I write now.  I played it for about an hour earlier today.  I'm pretty confident that its not going to be as good as the first (hard to top), but it will be a fun game.  I'm thinking we'll all play the MP mode a few times and then that will be it.

Oh, and I got just a couple dg games in tonight... 1 silly oak wars game (no mods, just 4v4 all oak) and then i played in one other pug that was stacked against me.  Nice to take a whopping sometimes.  I still don't understand why people try to attack 2 dgs by themselves, though.  Live and learn.  :)  I spent a good chunk of the latter half sharing pointers.  It was an interesting combo... I was erb and had a rook and an occ.  The occ could probably keep himself alive just fine and was spiking ok damage.  Didn't have a good idea of where he should be on the map on cata with the teammates he scored.  The rook was a bit more crazy.  I'm guessing his build was a little off... hamerslam rook... no towers... at least 1 level of structural transfer... and he'd overpursue most characters.  We were up against an ok team on the other side, but if we could have mitigated rook a bit more, we probably could have pulled off a win.  (they were da, tb, oak - we were occ, rook, erb).  Anyway, blah blah done.  night fellas.  Hope to catch some of you tomorrow.  Still really looking forward to some sins though .

edit - and their tb used heaven't wrath.  Something tells me it wasn't teseer on a smurf account :)

Alright weekends it is then, school ftl :( but I did figure out why I was sucking so bad ^.^ I was spending waaaaay to much money on research now that I've stripped it down to the ones that are a must take and excluded the rest I have 100x more money and 2v1 the comps in my starting position earlier well I had to learn somehow. lolz.  So, I got the last unlock I cared about in BFBC2 today.  I probably won't be playing that unless someone here on the vent asks me for a game until the final version comes out (same map, same mode in the beta + nothing else cool to unlock = boring).  Here's me hoping they have > 8 maps at launch and a HUGE amount of unlocks.  I hear the single play mode to the game is going to be pretty good as well.  We will see come March.

Dropped about 3 hours into bioshock 2.  I'm really enjoying the game.  Is it just me, or are the graphics not all that impressive?  I've got it on the highest settings, but many other current games look alot better than it.  BUT - it has some great gameplay.  Trouser mentioned he tried out the MP and said that its fun, but the matchmaking is kinda shite.  Which makes me wonder if MP is just another addon turd they decided to throw in at the last minute.  Anyone else have that picked up bioshock 2 have any thoughts atm?

And we'll officially try to get at least 1 game of sins in on the weekend. 

I think I'll be playing DG the majority of the time tomorrow, but not sure when I'll get on.  Won't be until past 5PM est anyway. 

Oh, and it seems like we had a really high number of folks in the clan pacov channels today.  I'm guessing that's because we had quite a few folks snowed in.  Us folks in ohio saw the worst of it on tuesday methinks.  We also added a new fella to the channels, levi5779.  If i remember right, he's a friend of macs.  Not sure about his skill level.  Anyway, I can get some demigod in with you fellas tomorrow.  Not sure if we'll break out favor mod 1.7/uberfix 1.01 or just do some straight up balanced games.

Hey, I just wanted to commend Levi5779. He played a vent game with me, and he did exceptionally well for a beginner. He follows advice well and didn't die while locking the enemy's portal. He needs more games under his belt, so I'd ask you all to play with him when convenient. We freaking won that game with a feeder on my team (not Levi), and opponents that had 100+ games under their belt.

P.S. Beat a TB with my minion build today. Twice. :P Had good games with Orcun, too.

Thanks for taking the time to make the new guy feel welcome.  I'm on board for helping get him up to speed when I get a chance as well.  Voice chat goes a hell of a long way in getting people up to speed quickly... so much easier to teach new players that way than having to type everything out...

Lucky dog.  :)  Shiro, Hedgie, Mauxe + anyone I might be forgetting - is there a time that works well on the weekend for sins?  I might be able to get a game of sins in after 8 or 9pm tonight.  We still need 1-2 more tune up games (hopefully with hedgie as I'd wager he knows the most).
