Aloha!

The official name of the project is Sins of Alethia. This name was chosen because Alethia, daughter of Zeus is the Greek goddess of truth. Both the Cylons and humans believe they are on the side of truth in their respective intrepid struggles. Consequently we felt strongly a failure to acknowledge this point as the central element of cause would be a disservice to the community and franchise proper.

This project is really a love letter to all fans of Battlestar Galactica. As a community we firmly believe the show is fantastic, and there's no reason why this stunning vision of an alternate Sci-Fi reality should not, and can not be brought to Sins. We are hoping to achieve not only an accurate representation of classical and contemporary BSG lore, but to also pay tribute fans by firmly grounding the project in the extensive BSG fan-fiction lovingly crafted by its followers and incorporate our own in to the mix.

Since its debut in 1978 to its 2003 re-imagining, its true to say that individual details regarding the universe are somewhat sketchy at best. With that in mind its our aspiration to fill in these gaps, as necessary, to create the strongest and most enjoyable gaming experience possible with this project for both the Sins and by extension the general BSG communities.



Currently we dont have a formal production time-line planed out; nor do we plan on developing one for the project. Everyone has their own ideas for how BSG could work in Sins, and there are some pretty firm thoughts on what should work and what would work. However there is also much to learn about the modding tools once we get them all as well as what limits we will have to work under within the engine. So it seemed impractical to try establish artificial limits with such unknown variables. We'll certainly let you all know about events and happenings as they arise.

Needless to say, expect the Cylon forces and Human Colonials to clash in an epic conflict of both ideals and survival!



Any and all help offered would be greatly appreciated. Concept artists, modelers and texturers along with anyone who feels they can give some good, solid, constructive input into the project are more than welcome to discuss, participate and bring your ideas to the table.

Just saw the newest show of Galactica where they find Earth...

So to keep the game accurate you are going to have to give everyone some Novalith cannons and have them destroy all the planets right away (but everyone also starts with a big fleet so it's okay!!!) :CONGRAT: :NOTSURE:

NO its teh fourth season right now. And i believe they anounced this will be the last season as well.

UEF - what do you think the sos signal is coming from?

the sos might have been coming from earth, waaay back, or maybe the final one is broadcasting it. did it ever say who the last one was? And the secret four didn't really know there was a sos signal, they only knew something had changed with that viper. I think there's got to be more to Earth and stuff, because then who fixed Starbuck's viper when she went through the nebula? and finding Earth, after all that, just to see its in ruins, is a pretty bad ending. maybe it was a 'higher power' like what's been suggested, and the power was trying to make the humans and cylons get along? and woops, i got my seasons wrong i guess. :p

They were doing an homage to that ancient movie "Planet of the Apes" :) :D

...where they were on the shoreline, standing in front of a destroyed Satatue of Liberty, with that dead NRA guy saying "You really did it... ...you destroyed it... ...damn you all to hell"

As always, the new Galactica series is both current and socially relevant, and they were poking at the Human tendency to segregate it's population for the mere selfish comfort of one collection of individuals at the expense of the lives of other groups of individuals (oops) :NOTSURE:

...and as a rule, that always ends in nuclear holocaust (Do'h!!!) ;p

But of course, it's a great show nonetheless... ...and I'm so glad they didn't bring in the invisible motorcycles from the first time they found Earth!!!
That was so very bad!!!

About Starbuck's Viper, that's also an homage to the first series, where he had on a blinding white uniform and talked to those 70's actors dressed in white who supposedly had great powers...

Also how did starbuck survive when she clearly saw her viper explode. (Original or Clone?)

The prophecy said a dead leader will guide them towards earth. Um roselen looks to be doing fine so far, sooo did they really find earth or not? (i know the cancer thing).

Also with this being only half the season, what do you think is going to happen next?

I just saw the screen shots for this mod and I mus say...IMPRESSIVE!

The Models of the Galactica and Pegasus are superb, and I love the frieghters too.

I saw once BaseStar, and it looked great. Can't wait until this comes out.

Are we even sure they are earth as I recall they never showed a good zoomed out image of the landmasses and on top of that at the end of the last season they show earth at the very end and im pretty sure there were lights.

uhhh so i watched the 10th episode and :SURPRISED:
they got there finally and they found that it has been destroyed(oh and the city i think it was NEW YORK)
i read somewhere that something big is going to happen in the final 10 episodes(like theres no such thing as humans, everybody cylon and all this has happened before blabla...) i hope it wont be that, it would suck

I personally want us (Earth) to show those Cylon mother-frakkers what-for with our seriously pimped weapons tech. (Plasma cannons, shields, lasers, very big railguns, antimatter bombs, exoskeleton infantry nastier than Centurions)

Now all we need to do is figure some huge plot device that lets us show up and launch a massive attack on the Cylons. By massive, I mean it makes the attack on the 12 Colonies look like a minor bar brawl in terms of destruction.

you missed the entire point it coexistence. :NOTSURE: A couple episodes stressed that point, such as the most recent with the pact, and the ones with the human/cylon child.

I've seen all the way to episode 10 of season 4, so I know they've made up. Still though, Earth being a radioactive ball of waste is kinda disappointing. Besides, Earth wasn't almost eradicated and is tired of fighting because of it. Who knows, Earth is somewhere else and we need a fight with the Cylons to keep us from nuking that planet.

If permission is granted to me, it would be an honor to merge this mod with 7 DEADLY SINS once it is released. ALSO, I have SEVERAL models of my own, and if I can help with this project in any way, please do not hesitate to ask.

As some people may know, I am a huge Sci-Fi buff, and hope to one day, in my mod, have all the universes collide with each other. BSG vs. Star Wars vs. Star Trek vs. Star Gate vs. Babylon 5 vs. Star Control vs. Master of Orion vs. my imagination...
