i think i got round it another way....well it works now so i must have. i changed the anti-aliasing settings up to x3. the video clips run in a staggering pace but at least the game works now....ish....just had to quit a game cos my turn button disappeared.....might wait for the next patch to start playing again. thanks for your advice anyway

crahes when loading games in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

everytime i try to load a game i saved earlier my game crashes. i'm not sure if it started when i downloaded the patch or not because i downloaded it just after i saved my first game. any help? i've got and nvidia geforce fx5200 if that helps.(it aint great but gets the job done)

to respond to Aaberq first....yeah i've got a fair understanding but i still have win a feckin game lol Now PJ....i've always been into the whole war, death and mass destruction side of life so when i saw u could win by other means(ie. pussy options) i turned them off. Makes it easier aswell cos you can consentrate on building fleets and conquering. dose that answer ur question? :notsure:

lol..screw u man i only got this game a few days ago. and yes i did have win by research victory turned off:p ps. no i did NOT have it set at cakewalk. i can sense that question coming up!

yeah u'd think that.....but y'd be wrong(i think).all the economies were heavly dependent on me. 2 empires were making just over 40% of their income from me. but they still went to war cos they were all allies :( thanks for the sugestion

thnx for the reply. ill try reloading like u say. "did you have a military ship in one of the AI's sectors?" yes i did. i had quite a few in their sectors. this is a complicated game lol and as for the military weakling....thats me! most my fleet was made up of battleaxes and frigates...I should have built a proper fleet earlier and knocked off one or two of em thnx

my first game which ive lasted longer than an hour. economy doin great,bringing in 3000bc each month, and my people are happy and reasearch is.....well ive practically nothing more to reasearch. then the Yor attack for no reason at all, then everyone else joins in too cos thier all best friends. im situated right smack down in the middle of them all and its pretty late in the game so everyone has LOTS of ship( overlords and shit like that).
