I have grown VERY reliant on ExplorerPatcher to bring back the Windows 10 taskbar features like toolbars, etc that Start11 doesn't yet support. When I click on the Start11 start button, all of my taskbar icons and text disappears until you hover back over areas of the taskbar to redraw whatever is under the mouse. I have to "repaint" the entire taskbar by moving the mouse over the entire taskbar after using the start button now so I can see the text and buttons again. I had

Hello. First off, I have been working with Stardock products since the early 2000s. Start11 is GREAT. Thank you so much for this product. I have one suggestion. If you could please add the ability to pin folders to the taskbar and then show a list of contents when clicked (and each item clickable to launch/open it), that would be amazing. Thanks for the consideration and keep up the good work!
The Windows 11 taskbar is awful. You can't use small icons, you can't show taskbar text for open windows, and you can't add folder links to the taskbar. Will Start11 eventually be able to customize the taskbar more? I would especially like to be able to click on a folder pinned to the taskbar and have its file contents show in a menu for quick access to common shortcuts without taking up huge space with the large icons used on the taskbar in Windows 11. Lots of bugs have been fixed, the new optimizations let me run more objects at a time with a lot less drain (1.7Ghz, 512MB RAM, 32MB ATI Radeon AIW) - most of the time my DX is running at a MAXIMUM 1-3% CPU! You definitely shouldn't be reset to 0 if you make an update. Especially updates where you click "reset update date"... using that checkbox usually indicates that your changes are big enough to honestly warrant being re-shown as an object back at the top of the date-descending list. Well, for one, let's say I create an object and 400 people download it. Then I update the object with new features using "Reset Update Date", and 200 users who downloaded the first version download the new version, and 200 new users download the object. Is the new download count only 600? Or is it 800, as I think it should be, when using "Reset Update Date" for large updates?
I like that someone points this out at last! The MacOS X dock does indeed suck. Like the article says, it is sexy and flashy, but that's it. It's as dysfunctional as the Start Menu, it just looks prettier. Simple shortcuts on one's desktop offers more flexibility! Thanks for the laugh, Frogboy!

I suspect every program under the sun will be installing itself onto the sidebar. Forget what MS suggests it's usage SHOULD be limited to. It's gonna be cool at first, but it's gonna be a nightmare once people realize how easy it will be to exploit. Consider it the icons in the system tray, but much larger, gone horribly wrong. Only time will tell I guess.

Hey moshi, credit would be given if I could find the original author of some of these animated gifs. But guess what? They're not copyrighted ones, they are ones freely available from almost any online GIF archive. If I had any way of contacting the author of these, I would. But from what I can tell, the only ones I convert are freeware GIFs that appear on MULTIPLE websites with NO author credits. Hence, you should do a little research yourself before passing judgement. Doh! It's too bad NetMeeting itself wasn't ever upgraded to include Messenger and the like. Netmeeting was very cool, and relatively easy to use (even control from a programming standpoint). It's too bad NetMeeting will now go the way of Microsoft Bob. Not cool.
