And if everyone is afraid of the goodie-goodies, what fun will be left for us very evil types
Well, I disagree with the whole anler/moose theory. If everybody is scared of the good guys then they wouldn't be seen as good anymore would they? Even if they had a nice blue smiley face, people would know that they were really evil inside. So basically, it wouldn't put the bad guys out of work, it would just mean more bad guys! :HOT: Come on everybody, there's plenty of evi

Me, I just stick with Imperial. I think its too much trouble to have to keep up the people's morale all the time. ;p But if you do choose to go with democracy, why don't you start investing in propaganda?

Well, that explains colonization events. But what about my other questions? How does the game determine random events unrelated to colonization? And how does it figure out which event you'll get? I'm still confused here. :notsure:

I've been wondering about how Galciv determines the frequency of events. For instance, does the game determine which planets will have colonization events as soon as you start a game, or does it determine it randomly every time you colonize a planet? And what about other events? Does the game determine randomly whether you will get an event every time you end your turn or what? If so, what are the chances of getting an event on a given turn or with a given planet? And how does the game dete

I've been wondering about one of the abilities you can pick when creating a new civilization. It's called "Creativity". The description says that it gives your civilization a greater chance of making "groundbreaking discoveries". What exactly are these discoveries? :notsure: Can anyone tell me what this means?

There is something I have been wondering about since I got Altarian Prophecy. When I look at the two new races on the diplomatic screen I see that the names of the ambassadors for the Korx and Drath are "Mr.Korx" and "Lord of the Drath" respectively. I've been wondering why they don't have more original names like the ambassadors for the first five races. I'm not complaining or anything, but I am curious. :notsure:

I recently downloaded Altarian Prophecy through Stardock Central. One of the new features I was most looking forward to was the campaign. However, for some reason, when I start a campaign mission, instead of a briefing, there is only an empty window. The same is true of the mission objectives. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be appreciated.

Ah, so close and yet so far. (:( I tried your suggestion Lothmorg and I got as far as the open with/browse part but was unable to locate the winzip file. I have no idea why this is. If you or anyone else for that matter has farther instructions I'd really appreciate it. Hmm, maybe if I tried the open from the current location option...

Here's some more info on my problem. Specifically, when I tell it to download a file, it goes ahead and copies the files without a hitch. But when it's done with that, it tells me that either it isn't a window help file or the file is corrupted. Could somebody tell me how to fix or bypass this problem? Thanks for the help!
