Well, after talking to the guy I bought Galciv off of Ebay I have realized for sure it is a burned copy >:( What is the best way I can contact stardock and give then the email address of the person selling illegal games? Does anyone know of how to contact ebay also? I have looked but am having a hard time finding an email address.

Cool, How do you setup a fleet? I chose several ships by holding ctrl and selecting them. I then click on the make fleet icon on the side but every time I try to move the fleet it seems like they all move independantly.

Since some of the ships like the frigate cost 10bc a turn to maintain are you better off having 10 corvettes or one frigate? I don't have any of the higher level battle ship or drednoughts. I would guess that once you get into the real big ships you would have a main battle ship and smaller fighters for support.

Another thing that happened is I decided to go to war with a minor civ since they started parking starfighters in 2 of my sectors. I squashed their star fighters and then they brough out a crap load of frigates and squashed me. The frigates were about 2 attk and 1 or 2 higher def that a frigate if I built one. The part that really make me worry is my frigates could get about 50-55 HP but theirs had 130+ HP for the same class boat. What could they have done different than me to get that

Also, I had to lean the hard way not to trade diplomacy translators to all the civs. Are there any other trade goods that it is a good idea not to sell? How do you tell what a trade good does to benifit you once you build it?

I have a few quick questions. I started playing a game and I am having a hard time for each of my planets it seems like the money spent every month is more that the incom of the planet. I have started building things on like embasies and news buildings but it seems not to help. Over all as an impire I am making good money per turn though. I think this may be a bug but on a lot of the trade items if I keep playing around with the money per month numbers some times it will let me specify

I am not a woman. But I hear they do exsist in the gameing universe in rare instances. Haha, actually it seems like a lot more Ladies are getting into games now days witch is good I think. Now if I can just get my wife to understand gaming interests then I'm set. She does like 3d Monopoly and online reversi though :CONGRAT:

I wonder if this could just be a used game that the previouse owner registered rather than being a burned copy. I email supoprt and asked if they could help determine what the problem is.

That could be the problem, maybe someone else had it registered. If I contact the person I bought it from and they don't know who would have registered it is there anything support can do to help me out? Is there any method (hint, hint) to download in this situation without registering with cd key? Like another download sorce possibly. Preferably I would like it if support can fix the problem, but I just want to enjoy the game. It will still be fun even if I don't have the patch but the

Okay, I signed up at wincustomize.com to. I am at work now so I will have to try the download once I get home. I did notice in the confirmation email for stardock.net I didn't see a confirmation link just my name and accounts. One thing to note I didn't buy the game online from the galciv site I got it off of Ebay.

Ah, I will check the confirmation email again, I think I may have missed something there. If that doesn't I will try to email support. How do you register at wincustomize.com ? I looked at the site but didn't see anything related to the game. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info. I went to the start menue register page and did that and then went to stardocks page. I then tried to download from the galciv web site but it is still saying invalid serial number. I hate to sound stupid but can someone post a link or email to contact support? Also if you have any other info on how to get this to work please let me know. Thanks.

I recently ordered my copy of GalCiv on Ebay, I got a good price on it and it finally showed up the only problem is I can install it fine with the CD key but when I try to download the bonuspak online it says I have an invalid CD key >:( Did someone sell me a ripped copy of this game? Is there anyway I can validate my CD Key or is there another way to download the bonuspak? I can be reached at mpj13@hotmail.com also. Thanks.

Hello, I am about to get galciv soon :) I have a silly question about the AI. A few placed I have heard that at certain intelligence levels the AI gets income and they compare to what you (the player) gets. What I am wondering is to they literally mean the other civs get a certain amount of money depengin on how much you make? Like if you make 50bc a turn and the PC get 50% of what you may get does that mean the PC gets 25bc a turn or does it mean that comparing to how much you gain
