I won that game - I allied up with everyone against them before they could start putting the hurt on me. Got an allied victory out of the game. It was weird, they had three planets, and each one was outproducing (research wise) my best research planet by several hundred shields. I see we're currently ranked number three - gonna be tough to move up to the number one or two slot if the score is more based on quantity now as each has more than double our number. I guess we'll just hav

Hi fellas, I ran across an anomoly (not the kind you pick up with a survey ship ;) - I was playing and did a successful colony rush - I had an easy 50% of the starting planets. I was on level with everyone else militarily and was outproducing and out researching them. Suddenly, the Deringin (sp?) shot off the charts. I went to trade with them and they suddenly had some VERY advanced techs - Dreadnaughts and Terracomputers and I was just researching battleships. I got lucky and converted one
But I admit - if you have to fight a lot of wars it slows things down a lot. That's the thing. For a quick game, you absolutely must stay out of a war
Then that could be my problem... I always try to gobble up as many planets as possible mid game (when my navy has sufficient strength and I've built enough CTs). My initial game does go by pretty fast... but I begin to take apart my enemies (and friends) piecemeal. Of course, I do this to try to milk the score. I could

Someone may have mentioned this before - I didn't go through all ten pages to read others suggestions - but I would like to see a change to research where the left-over research from your last researched project is applied to your next project instead of being discarded. I think it's here more than anywhere that the micromanaging becomes more of a chore than fun. If the leftover research would be applied to the next item, we wouldn't be trying to move the research slider to the "sweet spot" to

Since the 1.03 update, I've had a problem with my populations flatlining. I can crank the taxes down so that moral is at 100% but it still grows at a slow pace. I'll have 24 rating planets with a pop of 2 or 3 billion while other races will have 22 or 24 rating planets at 20 billion. Obviously, I'm missing something, but like I said this has only been since the 1.03 update. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks. ~SDC~

This could be by design and not a bug, per se. Formerly, one of my strategies would be to build up my warships and head over to my enemy (before he realized he was my enemy) and trade for all of his transports. Since the 1.02.49 update, I can offer planets for transports and no one will trade them away (unless I offer 2 or 3 planets). Is this on purpose? ~SDC~
