Hi, I need help! I've installed GC2 + DarkAvatar and everything went fine. Then, in Dark Avatar, I tried to change screen resolution to 1280x800 because that is my notebook's default value. After restarting Dark Avatar the game crashes back to desktop. In the log I can see it's something about the graphics buffer. OK, back to 1024x768 but HOW? GC2 runs OK under 1024x768 but Dark Avatar has saved the 1280x800 setting and I can't change it any more. No .ini-files found... no registry-

Hi, can anybody explain how the planetary tile map works? Green means supports project, yellow needs soil enhancement, orange needs habitats. What is the total number of available fields depend on? Size of the planet? Or it's class? What do I have to build to get more tiles available (besides the yellow and orange ones)?
Hi, I've finished my first 5 hours game yesterday. Within I experienced the following: BUG: In midgame after pressing the TURN button it disappeared and didn't come back. It was gone! No pressing SPACE or ENTER helped out, I was not able to end my turn. After saving, quitting, restarting and reloading three times the TURN button was there again and I was able to continue playing. TWEAKS: 1. When setting projects for a planet to build I add them to
Sid Meier said it will never happen as well and it did happen. So maybe Brad will take it into consideration when he's searching for a new challenge. I said "new" because I think GalCiv Multiplayer would be a rather different experience for the players. And as a programmer myself I think it is not too much work to create a bridge between the players. I think it would be quite enough to enable LAN games with, let's say, up to six players. No need for Internet games. ~SDC~
I've purchased Master of Orion III the day it was released, because I've waited so long for it since MOO2. And I was so dissappointed the day I've played my first game MOO3. But there was a little commercial card in the package announcing GalCiv. After playing my first to games I know it is better in most cases. Unfotunately I had the same feeling like in Civilization III when it was released. "Great Game but I cannot share the fun with others". A lot of fans made Sid Meier create a multiplayer
Hi, what was that? For testing I've raised my tax slider and the income was getting more and more (ok so far...) but when I stepped from 67% to 68% my tax income dropped from 16bc to 3bc. Whats going on there? Thanx ~SDC~
Hi, I don't fully understand the role of the sprending slider on the economic screen. The description in the manual is a bit foggy. What does the percentage I adjust really mean? What percentage of what is spent on what? What is the connection to the ratio sliders? Thanx. ~SDC~
Hi, I still did not figure out what the infos on the planatary screen really mean. (i.e. production, research). Next to the icons there is a value and a second one with a "+" (i.e. 2 +0). What does the "+" value mean? The increase since the point of colonization, the increase to expect somewhen or what else? Thanx. ~SDC~
Hi, I'm quite a beginner and I did not understand what exactly trade goods do? It takes a long time to produce them and then? What means "only one per galaxy". Do I have to trade them with another empire? What benefits do they bring? Thanx! ~SDC~
Hi, is there really a reason to know right from the start where every single star system is located? Wouldn't it be nice to have them hidden in the fog of war so exploring is more interesting? I think it would be nice to be able to select it as an option at the beginning of a game or to have a technology such as "gravitational scanner" later in the game which enables the player to see all star systems? What's your opinion? :notsure: ~SDC~
Hi, my damn senate always stops me, when I want to attack a neighbour. Is there a way to make (force) the senate to follow my orders? Even switch back to imperialism does not work, because the senate forbidds that as well! Tanx for help. :sniff!: ~SDC~
