Excuse me? The OS req' for GalCiv is windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Seeing as you know jack about operating systems ill wait for a proper response from someone who knows what they are on about
Each his own, a serious gamer doesn't use 98 except as a Drink coaster.
When are you going to fix the scenario editor? im not a happy camper, i havent had one release of AP that i could really get into on win98SE since i subscribed to Drengin, check my installs, im not intrested in the other bits on there, i only got it to say thanks for GC and sorry you got a bum deal from the publishers, this is the thanks i get
98 is not a gaming OS, it's hosed for most games. Upgrade to XP.
I can't use the map editor. I can only see about 4 squares in any direction, can't find the zoom, and see any scroll bars.
Using the Middle scroll button on my mouse for zooming in and out. To move map, hold mouse button down and move mouse.
Nicely Done. 1. Map Editor - Gig map with tons of stars and planets, a dream come true. A little cpu heavy (later into the game) with a dense map, but gives me the feel of a epic 4X. a. Way to add minor Civs? 2. SCN Editor - Money, teams, etc nice. a. Way for Mod Techs to show up in Scn Editor? b. Way to set number of starting minor Civs? -- Would be nice to have a Tech Tree Printout tool for us heavy modders. - Triple
Thanks for the help, and sorry for wasting your time. I Believe the problem was my SD account was expired. All is good now. Love the map editor, finally I get my custom maps with tons of Stars. Thou it is making for a very very long and very enjoyable game. For my fan request:) .. The in game tech tree is awesome and displaying new mods is nice. A way to print a full tech tree (including Mods) would imo be a value tool to troubleshoot and tweak custom
Thanks and sent. and another update to GC, wow.
Good Morning, Monday's are always a pain for everybody catching up on the weekend mail and such. NP here, the GC folks have been great to me. My signed copy of GC sits nicely next to my game signature collection. Hope to had AP when it goes gold also. Have GC running fine with all my moddling fun. Seems to be a limited on improvements - after a hundred or so the building que throws some strange numbers in to name of the improvement. 400 techs and coun
reinstalled SD and GC. AP does now show up in SD,but as a "download" not install. The Download button doesn't work thou. Also the title listings in SD, are grabbled, seems half my sign in information is being listed.
Hi Technician, Thanks for the replay. That's what I thought, AP would show up in SD as a new install. Reinstalling SD now. Heck of a game. Well deserved in be in any TOP ten list. And your Community relations should be a model for other developers to follow. Spending WAY to much time on the mod end of things, while I wait to figure this out :). NP, No one should work on the weekends if it's possible. Believe me I know.. Mike "Archang
Version: 1.49C[b].002 - I screwed up and can't seem to find a fix. Download and install and played AP for a day, and then had to "restore" my system to a prior config. The most recent GC works great, but AP goes black after trying to launch. After trying to re-install from a archive, I still have the same problem. I might have a corrupted file in AP some where and the archive. How do I access a Prior Build of AP, so I can restart the download, or how do I get a
Brad, Outstanding Job! - Altarian Prophecy Beta rocks! Love the map and scn editors, not to say anything about the outstanding support and upgrades. Mike ~SDC~
Please stop making this game better and better! Still loving the moddling and with the Map edtior now.. I may have missed it, is there a way to randomize a map in the map editor? On my hope to have fan list :) 1. More stars - maybe adjustable from 10 to 50 percent more. 2. Big and bigger maps. Might slow down some of the slow machines. Keep up the great work. ~SDC~
Again, Another Nice Job. thanks Bill
Hey Hawaii, Love the program hope to see more updates from you! Archangel Ensemble Studios
Updates are good for the community, which in turn is good for marketing (and sales). I have heard the similiar line in the AGE community, but overall the hard core (I will come back from another game by the GC group), updates of these type are necessary (play game improvement, little bugs (or suggestion fixes), free CONTENT!, etc. Look at Civ II, how many Patches were released ? - 13 (or more) can we say huge fan base and Game of Year ?, And for example our recent game
Hey Brad, Yeppers, Bigdog is our Tech Director. Trying to get him to trade a copy of AOM for GC (signed of course for my game collection :). I am totally hooked on GC, I am more of a turn based players and ageless fan of MOO2 (Please don't ask me how I feel about MOO3 :(. The first day with GC was 12 hours straight (nice it was a weekend). Now I try to limit myself to six hours a day. Great playablitiy. Love that you have made all the files available for mod'ing. Hav
