I guess they never escaped in my previous game, that's why I was wondering. Thanks for the info and advice. :)

While the ship is still in orbit click on it then use the sliding bar below it to load as many or as little colonists as you want. To unload colonists on a planet, go to that planet's orbit and do as described above. Works for me. :)
When you get permission to build a space monster zoo do you get to build it? If so, how? It doesn't show as a structure in the building selection. Or does it just get built automatically?
Fixed my problem, thanks. :)
That did it! Thanks much. :) ~SDC~
I noticed I posted at the wrong place, sorry. I will post my question in the forum. ~SDC~
I just finished playing my first GC game. When the game ended I was taken back to the opening screen, I clicked on Metaverse, a web page opened but remained blank, just a white page. What am I doing wrong? I had previously registered my player name by going to the Mataverse page on the website. ~SDC~

Guess now I have to go start a new game! Yippeee! :CONGRAT:
"Refresh application data" did it! I'm downloading the file as I write this. Thanks much. :)
Where is that 4 MB file? I went to Drengin.net, is the file you're talking about the top one? The one called Galactic Civilization 1.02.036? I tried that one and it was going to take hours to download. I already have the game, I purchased it from EB, I only want the update. Help, please.
I second that suggestion. :)
It's available at EB in Montréal. I have a copy reserved which I'm picking up tomorrow. :D
I had a call in to EB and they said they would get it in today. No need to say I asked them to reserve me a copy. They said they would phone as soon as it arrived, that was this morning. I'm happy to say they have just phoned me back and EB in Côte Vertu has it. I'll be picking up my copy tomorrow. :CONGRAT:
I live in the Tremblant area so before I make the drive down to Montréal I want to be sure the game is available. I'm counting on you guys in Montréal to let me know when it arrives at EB Côte-Vertu or better still Future Shop St-Jérome. Much appreciated. :)
Thank you for the excellent information, much appreciated. My download connection usually maintains itself around 3kbytes/sec so I'm going to follow your advice and wait for the CD to install the Multimedia. Sounds like the best way to go for me.
I live near Montréal, Québec and I haven't been able to find a store in my area that will have the game anytime soon, so I'm seriously considering downloading it. I don't have a high speed internet connection, only the 56k dial-up modem. Does anybody have any idea how long the download might take? Also, I presume the price is in US$, what are the taxes and are they any other charges?
