I just tried to dl the 1.05 patch via download.asp. After entering my mail address and serial number I am rewarded with a 404 (file not found) error. This is the invalid URL: http://www.galciv.com/download/galciv_DB8B43D6-6CB9-40D2-A62A-F24C8095903C.zip Any way to download the patch (no, I'd rather not use Stardock)? SF just links to download.asp, too.... Thanks.

Hm, your SC is doing something wrong then. The update is about 4 MB in size. Yours looks like the updater is trying to dl the complete basic installation package.... I've to say that SC works like a charm here, so far. DL speed could be better, though (getting about 25 kB/s on a 95 kB/s pipe). ~SDC~
Hm, that isn't very consistent, is it? Killing off the native population of a planet is regarded as evil, selling your own population is not? That should have _severe_ repercussions on morale on other systems ...
Hm, yeah, something like a "rush build": if the planet's queue has been empty for [x] turns, the next project on that planet will be built twice as fast for [x] turns, too (because workers are rested). Or maybe a morale bonus when the queue is empty because people don't have to work *grin*
Sorry to nitpick, but it's "Once more _unto_ the breach, dear friends, once more."
Regarding the requests for some kind of recompensation when the planet queue is empty: shouldn't it be the other way round? GalCiv counts income according to taxable percentage of population. If you don't give your population jobs, the taxable percentage will _shrink_, not grow. So logically speaking you should be _punished_ for an empty planet build queue, not rewarded.
That's Microangelo Studio, an icon creator. http://www.impactsoft.com/products/products.htm
Nicely done, though I'd much rather prefer having that information in-game. Ah, well, can't have everything.... Thanks for the link, looks like I've got to bookmark that ;)
From what I see (e.g. http://www.galciv.com/examples/5/new-63.jpg), there's no possibility to gather _exactly_ what you are about to research. The possible advances connected with the research field are listed in their respective fields ('Projects', 'Modules', 'Options' etc), but only their names are given, not what they mean _exactly_ (e.g. with potential social projects: how much they cost, what effects they have, etc.) When I want to research something, I'd rather know exactly the p
Hm, how about http://www.galciv.com/docs/ ?
In fact I've submitted that (availability at Okaysoft) as 'News' some time ago. I don't know why they've chosen to ignore it... I'd guess they try to get as much people as possible to order directly from Stardock.
Hum, the - apparently estimated -amazon.de shipping date is _May_ 31st. Guess that would be the localized version and who really wants that?
