Will it be possible to download the game (after purchase of course) using plain vanilla HTTP / FTP, or do we have to have the Stardock Central? Stardock central doesn't work on my system and frankly, I don't think I really want or need it. A plain download site would be much better, IMHO.

Stardock Central installation woes in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I'm unable to install the Stardock Central beta. I keep getting this message: "Failed to get default server address. Reinstall the application to correct this problem." I un-installed and re-installed 3 times, rebooted my system 5 times, connected and disconnected from the internet, to no avail. I'm running Windows XP on a P4, 1.5Ghz, 256MB RAM, 64Kbps ISDN dialup connection. I only need this in order to be able to download GalCiv when it finally comes out on the 26th. I
