Simple fact is more people have consoles than have PCs to game on. Halo sells 8 million copies because every fanboy has to have a copy, sadly if they only knew how completely destroyed they would be by someone with the same skill level playing on a PC (using a mouse) Console gaming is cheaper and easier. Buy a box at BestBuy, plug it in and you're done. Sad as it is. I miss sports games on the PC, they were so much easier to mod/update. Anyone who thinks that piracy isn'

Guess that depends if you can get 1.1 working for you. Some of us have had issues with this version and Uzii is getting some much needed sleep.
I hope they are taking extra time to add an MP3 player. Sigh. A little sick of the music and ALT + TAB = Death for my POS.
when 1.2 came out I think the 1.1 games were no longer playable. easy fix, finish your game before you update.
the whole ground combat idea would work if you set it in the Milky Way around Season 6. not much ground pounding in SG:A
Or you can keep culture as culture and say that the planets are either rebelling against the Wraith or becoming Wraith worshipers.
I tried to enable it (no planet on screen) and no dice. errored out. I've done this a few times now, downloaded it a second time (this time from filefront) and have rebooted the box and reinstalled the full mod, not just copied over 1.0b. That's all I can give you for now.
should note i'm on XP, not that vista trash :) rapidshare (not de) i'll grab it elsewhere and try again.
having the same problem unfort. played 1.0b no prob, did the same things (deleted all 1.0 before starting) and now I get a minidump and SOASE crash when i enable the mod :(
you bastid :) I just installed 1.0b! Just kidding, love all the work you are putting into it. keep it up!
once again, it helps if people (me) could learn to read before they are allowed to bang away at a keyboard and post their psychotic rantings on the interweb.
Just played a quick game to see if I did everything right and the mod looks great. But I do have to say my total folder size is 1.32gig when done, not the 1.14gig. Not that I am lacking for space, but make me ponderous.
isn't there a map like that?
Indeed. I seem to wind up being a few characters short when I want to name my ship USSS Therapist :)
I guess I was confused because ships come out with full shields (are there any buildings that have shields, I didn't think there were?) so I was expecting buildings to act the same way :) The people on the boards have been great and extremely helpful, there are just so many times in a day that I want to admit how much of a moron I am to the free world :)
create a shortcut on the desktop to the folder. or two.
well I haven't had a crash yet, but maybe no one has hit my trade port yet. no mesh. no clue which one to use still with the conflicting opinions :)
People (myself included) are running into issues when modding the game and I was wondering if anyone has put together a list of what you need to change and in what locations to accomplish X? Example, I wanted to add minimal shielding to a Trade Port. After changing the maxshield value and getting nothing out of it, someone was helpful enough to remind me that I have to change the shield restore value, makes sense but I still don't understand how you have to have a shield restore val
For the record, they never found earth in the original BSG. They "found" it in the crappy version BSG:1980 which had none of the original actors save Lorne Greene. Benedict was already going on to A-team, etc. Pegasus never died in the first show either, it went on a joint mission and did not come back, but it was left open for a return in season 2. Now, get me some viper mark 2 models damnit!
bees on the what now?
so I'm dumb...
Here's a question I have, how can you add shields to something that doesn't have them? (trade port for example) I have tried changing the MaxShieldPoints line from 0 to a number, but all that happens ingame is a shield value is created, but it stays at 0/500 or whatever.
I'll just start a thread for this.
doesn't every space genre have a "spice" reference? Dune obviously, or the Spice Mines on Kessel for SW. Spice = code for Space Crack.
The Porous core shrinks the gravity well around the asteroid (the blueish cloud/sphere around the planet) Not sure if the sun types do anything other than look pretty
