I already know how to update thru Impulse. What I'm looking for is a link to the actual patch file so that I can download it and save it away. When I'm retired to my tropical island with no internet connection, I want to be able to play the latest greatest version of Sins. It used to be that PC games would have the patch file sitting on the game's website for any and all to download and save away. With impulse, the patch downloads and installs directly into the game so there's nothing

I'm one of those people who like to save purchased software on my own discs, for when the company inevitably goes away. For the original Sins of a Solar Empire, I own the box copy, but would like to download the latest patch file to save away. For Entrenchment, I would like to download Entrenchment and the latest patch file to save away. I can't find any patch download links on this website. Currently, I've archived both games with Impule's archive feature. Doe
It's a single core. I'd bought the system a few months too early Some times, rebooting the computer will fix the problem (not guaranteed). Erasing all my save games seems to fix the problem each time.
For now, I'm simply using these low quality planets as research labs, and hoping the other planets' economies make up the difference in costs. Destroying the colony after colonizing or invading still leaves a planet the AI wants to take. At least with my version 1.5
I'm playing it on my Acer 1691wlmi laptop. It only has 512 MB of ram that is shared with the Intel graphics chip. Except for the distortion of the ship pictures in the build menus, it runs fine. Well, huge games take forever to reload.
Is there a way to reduce planet quality in Dread Lords? For example, I don't want to bother colonizing planets with PQ Currently, I'm just constantly reinvading with invasion options that reduce PQ until it finally drops to 0, but that also means I'm constantly going to war.
Hi. The ship pictures some times gets distorted. I'm speaking of the ship pictures in the interface bar and the "Build Ship" selection menus and the Shipyard menus. Tship pictures in the playing field and in combat are fine. However, some times if my custom constructor is attacked, only the base hull is animated, without any structures or attachments. It's as if the pictures were sliced horizontally and then staggered. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it comes, I usuall
I've noticed that when my survey ship goes thru a wormhole and ends up out of range, I have to remember to move the ship each turn until it's back within range. Even if it's set to auto-explore, auto-survey, or just set to move to a waypoint, the ship will just stay in place.
Are the default ship designs buggy or special? What I mean is that the default TAS colony ship shows two colonizing modules, but can only take on 500 colonists, not the expected 1000. If I remove one of those modules, there is no resulting decrement in space usage. This goes for some, but not all, of the other modules that are on this and other default ships. They do not take up space or cost, but they also do not provide their benefit.
