Wow, it is weird to think that it is almost exactly a year since I met you in person. I think that was only within a couple days after memorial day.

Flight of the Conchords (New Zealand's self proclaimed forth most popular folk-parody duo) has their own sitcom. I'm going to be a willing vector in HBO's viral ad campaign for this show. It is quite funny in a unique low-key sort of way. It loses a bit of impact for me because I've heard all their songs a million times but for a newbie it should be better. I've never

The fun part of that article was guessing who it was you would almost kill. At first I thought it was Orian for waking Izzy up, then the garage sale people for selling you a defective keyboard so the answer came out of left field.

I saw D.A.A.S. busking in Garema Place in Canberra many years ago (before Good News Week or anything like it). I distinctly remember Tim running through the crowd collecting women's handbags. He then proceeded to go through all the handbags, describing in detail the contents and then piling all of it up in one big pile. There wer

I feel it is my duty to introduce my geographically and generationally disadvantaged friends to the Doug Anthony All Stars (D*A*A*S). This was one of a Australia's best comedy music/serious music acts. Unfortunately they disbanded long ago. Watch them before someone complains and takes then off youtube. They are very crude, rude and sick but very funny. These are

I would think anyone with half a brain could see that this isn't some big favour that government is doing for military families. The problem is it is people with half a brain (or less) that came up with the idea in the first place.

I agree with you and that is a fairly rare thing. I have never heard a greeny in MY country support it though. In my country it is our very enviromentally unaware government. The truth is the infrastructure of many western nations doesn't lend itself to fuel/energy conservation. We tend to transport food long distances, our buildings are inefficient, public transport isn't a attractive alternative to private vehicles etc. Changing to

As have Beastie Boys, Run DMC, The Avalanches and DJ Katalyst. Them too, the first three are in my collection - I don't know the last one though. Oh and as a child of the 80's Big Audio Dynamite, Del La Soul (a fair amount of "old School" hip hop actually) - the list goes on and on really but that would

Thanks maso! I don't hate ALL cover versions by the way. What I hate is people who make cover versions and either a) Make it worse b) make it exactly the same. It seems today we are assaulted with millions of superfluous cover versions. There are many examples of cover versions I think are actually better than the originals (especially songs by people who can't sing like Dylan and Lou Reed), but these days it doesn't seem to happen much.

Maybe he is experiencing major growing pains. The deputy priciple at the school where I'm working had a relative whose bones were growing faster that the muscles or tendons. They actually had to go into traction. Maybe Orian is going through a growth spurt ( he is a bit young for a major one, but then he maybe he is going to be quite tall). This might explain why the pain is intermittent. I got them a bit and it followed that sort of pattern, not so ba

Shit, I'm so sorry mate. I don't think there is much more I can say. My best wishes go out to you and the family. Kenny
