slight update problem

Ya, I had the same problem. My update failed, when I looked at the version again, I had the same readouts. Very strange. The version history doesn't help since it seems out of date.

Help me Stardock, your my only hope.

0.90[b].005 and later are supposed to be gamma builds, I think you're seeing them by accident since it's only going to be fully downloadable by people with rank Diplomat and above.

Also, 0.90[b].005 isn't a correct update anyway, all it did was modify an XML file and not the game exe like it was supposed to. If you do download it, you probably won't see much difference.

HMM I UPDATED MINE TO 0.9X A and then foolishly 'updated it again to 0.81 and 0.9x was available again!
To try and clear things up I exited and went back in and only 0.81 was now available

I am soo sad, did I get a chance to see 0.9 by mistake which I have now squandered boo-hoo.

Can anyone who did not re-overwrite back to 0.8 tell me whats new in 0.9?

Nothing, the .9 update that's on SDC right now isn't actually an update, it's a mistake. There's nothing actually IN the update, it was just an xml file instead of the full update as intended. You missed nothing.

Actually I see the bug at work with the .9 vs .81. Did the same thing, went back and got the .81 as I did not remember seeing anything actually update with .9.

At home, I watched most carefully, nothing did update with .9 so I kept going and got a full update that looks like it changed the dates on folders but I seen nothing else oddly enough. Of note though it appears that the nvidia problem maybe back. The only way I could get the home computer with the nvidia gforce 5200 to work was applying the patch from "Frogboy" found in the forums.

we could do with a clarification couldn't we? After I went from 0.81 to 0.9 and then back to 0.81 ( ) Later on last noght I was then offered a MM update which brings me a lovely (if slightly jerky) opening video) but havng played the 'now' 0.81 last night I cant honestly say I spotted anything different.

I am told by zoomba that the ghost upate was simply an XML error, but I certainly got a MM update so something is going on!

This hiccup is due to our preparation of getting a private beta available.  However we are unable to reproduce the problems you are seeing at the moment.  For those who are experiencing this problem can you please let us know what Build number of Stardock Central you are using and what download server you have set (California or Chicago)?
