What are the signs for a broken PINKY?

Well see I thought I would have a good time playing with my friends, on a playground. Needless to say we are probably to big for the playground but we still had fun.
Only problem was that while having fun. Somehow while sliding down a slide backwards b.c I was pushed backwards, my pinky bend all the way back.
Now it is twice the size of my other and it is black in blue, and it hurts like heck.

Are these all signs of a broken pinky? Can you even break your pinky?

I don't know

Yes, you can break a pinky or any other bone. (Hint, it has bones in it)

It does sound like either a break or a bad sprain. Either way it should be X-rayed to be sure. A fractured bone, if not properly set and imobilized can be like a knife moving around in there slicing muscle, tendons, and blood vessels.

Go to the doctor or emergency room immediately.

If you have to wait until tomorrow, ice will help reduce swelling, and it would be a good idea to imobilize it with surgical tape by taping it to the next finger.

I've broken my right index finger twice now, and it hurt so bad that I saw stars, got nauseated, and it turned green, dark blue,
and of course I couldn't bend it.
I went to the clinic the next day, after a pain filled night and he thought it wasn't broken and tried to make me bend it.
He ordered xrays just to pacify me, and of course it was broken!!!!
Soooo, please use ice packs, elevation, Tylenol for pain and go get an xray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????
The doctor will put a splint on it and give you orders not to get it wet as then the skin can maserate. Please go?? to see a doc??/

As one who's had "boxer's breaks" in both pinkies, trust me it's not only possible, but very easy. And painful.

Yes, you can break your pinky. My brother just recently broke his pinky along with his growth plate.

I broke my Pinky in febuary and just found out today that it is still broken.... i can bend it and everything but it hurts when i catch a ball or something.... I found out because just recently i tore my MCL and had to get an x ray for my knee so they took x rays for my pinky also and thats how i found out the bad news. Add that to the book of stupid stuff.

Well last thursday I wuz playin netball nd jarred my lil finger. It swelled up straight away nd I wuz in pain.My PE teacher sent me to A&E nd I gt n x-ray nd the woman cme out n sed there's no brake or damage to the tendons.Afta I left A&E ma finger started to turn blu nd I thot it might just b bruising bt afta a week it went pale! So on wendnesday I went to the doctors cuz I cudnt starighten my lil finger.I told him wat happened nd sed they tld me tht my finger wuznt broken. Bt thn he looked puzzled at me sayin tht it wuz!! THe x-ray ppl sent me home witha broken finger 4 a week!I just cnt believe it!

Trust me, I broke my pinky too and it hurts like heck... Go to your local CVS and get a splint and wahh lah your good as new
