Hi all, we are hopeful to get Beta 8 out early next week, and I'd like to get a 4p tournament using the No Buyout rules started as soon as possible, so keep your eyes out for a sign-up thread on Monday (or possibly earlier). Would love to get games started on that Tuesday, so please be ready!
Why don't you turn that annoying feedback pop up into a tournament advert, also maybe a decent prize for the winner - Offworld T shirts or hoodies something like that, encourage some new players to challenge the usual participants- you have a marketing budget?? Right?!!
Well. it will be unique. I suspect that neither cubit nor I will win this one, given how easy it is to knock people out.
I'm not sure that's true - the point of this tournament is To see if winning strategies can emerge, and we've just started to mess around with the mode.
Cubit doesn't even bother founding in good locations anymore; he produces as little as possible, pays attention to stocks, and sweeps up the mess at the end. It's possible to win against the current crop of players with the right strategy, but playing conventionally isn't it.
On that note, I hope the %buyout indicator is fixed. It's now the most important number in the entire game.
