New Mod (WIP)
After learning much from my first mod here is the one I will focus on till true completion
This mod will add a more as it goes along, stuff from the multiverse will be an add-on to this one.

This mod will add a more as it goes along, stuff from the multiverse will be an add-on to this one.
The plot for this new mod is the Ancients have Returned.
If you can figure out what this mod will be about from the details you will be selected to be a beta tester for the mod, testing period will start once the project is revealed.
I do need Coders, Beta Testers, Modelers, Texture Artist, Particle Editors, and Icon Creators.
Also anyone who wants to be a P.R. person are welcome as well.
Any current modders are welcome to become alpha/beta testers without being involved in the contest, just ask.

More Sci-fi may be considered, but at current only the first 2 are being worked on the rest will be released one at a time as expansions, the mod will have a modular set up where you can have any race face any race. P.S. The Goa'uld, Jaffa, and Lucian Alliance will use similar ships, technologies and abiltites, except for cap ships mostly.

Don't we have like 2 other Stargate themed mods? How is this one going to be any different?
While I'm a huge Metroid fan and I'm glad someone is potentially interested in doing it, I think having all those races you list is way too much work for even a good mod team, let alone an individual. Not even the Star Wars vs Star Trek mod has been finished despite it being started years ago. And even in a modular format, that many races might be too much for Sins to handle all at once, and it would be a total nightmare to test.
Nightmare to test, nightmare to balance, nightmare to code. There's also the issue of assets for all these races. A lot of them are already made, but permission still needs to be obtained from the mod teams to use their models, textures, and effects. That list could probably be pruned of a few races that either nobody is really fond of or just aren't that important in their universe. Off the top of my head the Jaffa, Lucien Alliance, Vong, Sith Empire, and the old Old Republic could get tossed and very few people would care.
Boy, having 6 Star Wars races is already tough to balance. I can't imagine ALL of those bloody universes being balanced amongst each other.
Mine will be slightly different more focused on a semi-story line. There will be sort of campaign missions created.
I figured no one would want to use every race at the same time, even I would only probably use 4 or 5 at a time.
I know it would be a nightmare to test and code, I almost have the Ancients done, except for abilities, I haven't decided if I am going to look for a modeler or ask for some to all assets from other mods, the Jaffa, Lucian Alliance will use the same assets as the Goa'uld mostly, maybe a slight texture change, and their abilities and technology will be nearly the same as well. I only have the Vong there as a pirate race, the Replicators, flood and a few others will make up the pirate faction. I may get rid of all the star wars races but the Old Republic Era and Clone Wars era altogether.
The balancing I have decided will be more focused on the amount of ships a race can field, some of the weaker ones will be able to have 2 or 3 to 1 to the more powerful ones, plus the abilities will be stronger and better for the weaker races and the stronger will have weaker ones.
When I posted what I did, there was no mention of other factions yet. Regardless, I don't really see how this is different than the other multiverse/multifaction IP mods (especially 7 deadly sins) that's out there. I'm not sure how much interest you'll garner. Good luck.
I can't say I'd play as the Galactic Republic, CIS, or Sith Empire in this mod. I would definitely use the New Republic and Imperial Remnant however.
