Summons in Fallen Enchantress?

As someone who hasn't played the Fallen Enchantress beta I'm just curious (if anyone would be kind enough to take the time to list 'em) about what sorts of creatures an aspiring sovereign can summon in Fallen Enchantress. I was also wondering, what is the winged creature summoned on the dev diary on spells from early April?

Anyway, thanks in advance for any assistance. It's much appreciated.

If the winged creature had a spear, it's an ' air elemental'. Besides that one, you can also summon earth, water and fire elementals. You got a special called 'summon warg' for sovereigns that picked the 'summoner' profession. Then you can summon Naja or other creatures into combat with 'call of the wild' which is a lvl 2 life & lvl 2 earth spell. And I can't remember more. The familiar and the little demon from E:WoM are gone. Gilden can make giant golems for 30 metal and mana, not a summon but magical at least.

There you go

https://forums.elementalgame.com/422067

It's as of 0.86.

Nature's call (Tactical/ Earth and Life disciple)

Pariden's Return (Tactical/ None) - summons Titan for 5 turns

Summon Earth elemental (Strategic/ Earth Master)

Summon Fire elemental (Strategic/ Fire Master)

Summon Ice elemental (Strategic/ Water Mage)

Summon Shadow Warg (Strategic/ Summoner path)

The latest 0.90 adds 3 more summons I think.

+ Added the Call Slag spell- Summons a slag into battle

+ Added the Call Uteran spell- Summons a great cave bear into battle

+ Added the Demonic Ally spell- Summons a demon into battle

There is a mod scheduled to come out on day one that adds over 100 summons.

Er... You kidding me right? That would be like averaging over 20 summons per element or over 4 per level? ??? How would that work in the game???

If I have Fire archmage i would have 20 summon spells available + all the rest? ??

In that mod, which is called Goetia: Dominion over the Planes, Summons will be limited by two things: resources like mana, and a summoner's ability to maintain concentration, which is represented by a Dominion stat. The Dominion stat increases as you level, and as you select traits that boosts your summoner abilities. Having active summons consumes Dominion, which is returned when they die or disappear.

However, I'm not so sure that the mod will be released when FE is released, it will probably be after that. And regardless, the main game needs more summons.

Sounds like a tonload of work to set yourself, meaby if I was you (or whoever set the time limit) I might say like, 2 to 4 days, just to have a day or two to remove the worst bugs, tweak the worst balance issues.

I am talking slightly blindfolded here though, so anyways GL! :D
I might start taking a bigger interest in mods as we get closer to release (then again, release date might go way over my head, even if I am actively trying to look for it in the forums, I am not know for my great perception :) )

Sincerely

Thanks for the info, guys. That's a pretty cool looking Air Elemental and not like one I've ever seen in another game.

Anyway, speaking from personal experience (for whatever that's worth) it would indeed be nice to see a few more summons in the game. One of the best parts of fantasy 4X games is being able to summon cool and varied creatures, especially the hideously powerful ones, to crush your enemies etc. ;) They couldn't go wrong, I think, with allowing Death mages to summon undead and demons, specifically. It would be nice if Life mages had access to some more permanent summons as well. Anyway, that would probably require a lot of work and I'm sure this game will turn out very well regardless.

Goetia looks fantastic. I'm going to have to keep an eye on that mod.

I will definitely try the Goetia mod after FE is released. There are a few good mods shaping up, but I don't want to try them during the beta, as I'd like to keep my feedback as pure as possible. Mods would taint my impression of the main game. After release I will abandon all restraint and let slip the mods of war!
