AI and Mines - Spam much?

I played my first match yesterday and found that the AI spams mines rather then building up decent defenses of Gatling guns and fighter/bombers. Does anyone think the AI needs a bit of loving in how it builds its defenses?

Just make sure you don't play against Fortifier AI types, they are the ones spamming mines in all of their gravity wells. The other Ai types don't do this as much.

I always have a couple of scouts with my main fleet in order to remove mines mid-battle.

This has been requested several times. I would like to see one in game. The Advent have the ability to convert enemy mines to their side using the Drone Host now though.

I don't find mines difficult to clear. Titans now remove minefields like nothing. Just keep a scout a bit a head of your titan and they'll be removed no problem.
