New player questions (TotA)

7 Questions I came up with after playing my first couple games of GA (love it so far)

Finding online resources for game mechanics answers and stats has proven to be unusually difficult.  Thanks in advance for any assitance

1:  What do courage, creativity, and luck actually do?

(Looking for numbers here =P)  I would be happy for anything about courage, have yet to see any significant information on it, qualitative or quantitative.

Luck effect Answered by maiden666:  Rolls from 25%-100% weapon damage instead of 0%-100%

2:  Is there a good resource for determining the difference between the different race's techs trees?

Answered by maiden666: DLed galactopedia and it rocks!

3:  What does "ship quality" mean in regards to the stellar forge?

4:  What buildings interact with the "tile" bonuses on planets? (i.e. +300% research, +100% approval)  Is it only the +X buildings such as normal factories, or do +X% buildings like power plants receive them too?  (I'm assuming super projects/galactic achievements do not work with these, but correct me if I am wrong)

Answered by maiden666:  Essentially correct, political capital is affected by influence/approval tiles however

5:  Whats a good online resource for looking up specific game stats and facts.?  Galciv.wikia.com has proven to be highly inaccurate, often misleading, and rarely relevant to TotA

Answered by maiden666:  None! =P

6:If one were to create a custom race with super warrior and altarian/drath tech tree, and put righteous might module on a ship that already has the super warrior first strike, what happens?

7:During the same match, technologies are increasing in cost before I get to them for no apparent reason.  Playing with ultimate edition 2.02 (TotA)  Really would appreciate any insight into this.

Sorta answered:  This is due to the tech inflation I have heard about, but I would appreciate more info if anyone has it

It depends on what stat is being affected. If the stat has straight +x buildings, only those will be affected; this applies to factories, labs, and farms. Things like power plants, research coordination centers, and food distribution centers will not gain from the bonus tile.

If the stat has only +x% buildings, these will be affected by bonus tiles. This applies to influence and morale buildings, including things like the political capitol, counter espionage center, etc. It MAY apply even to negative bonuses (I haven't tested it, but I assume it works), but why anyone would build something like a Slave Canyon on an influence bonus tile is a question best left for another time.

Bonus tiles will NOT work on any building that affects your empire rather than only the planet it's on. Building the Restaurant of Eternity on an influence tile will get you no where. Same with trade goods.
