Just noticed an odd thing while playing with this mod....I noticed that some of my asteroids (both dilithium and latinum) indicate they are producing 0.00 quantities.  Is this a bug inherent within the mod or the game in general?

We will check out the asteroid bug. I was not aware of any asteroid showing 0.00, but we will double check it. Has anyone else seen this? What map were you playing when you noticed this?

Harpo to answer your question we make our own manifests, because your tool includes all of the vanilla sins stuff in the manifests it makes. No matter what the settings. As of the 0.4 series we have removed all vanilla sins entitys. The manifest maker winds up un-doing all of our work.

Guys for best results run the mod on a clean install of Sins: Entrenchment. Delete the "ironclad games" folder in your appdata, and runs sins so it will make a new ironclad games folder before you install the mod. If you upgraded from 1.041 the update does not clean up any old files in your appdata. We used to do this like a religion in the early days of sins. The same applys now if you updated. To remove all doubt just re-install sins and delete the ironclad games folder. Make sure you back up any mods and screenshots before you do this.

I can second that. I've had the "zero resource" asteroid thing happen twice now. Both times it was on a random Medium and random Medium-Large map.

Well I think that patch fixed the issue with the Borg and random maps! The Borg are now building Cubes and Unicomplex stations every game now....even with random maps. Thanks for the fix!

Yes with this patch the borg got a considerable buff. You will find the borg player just as deadly as the next player early mid and late game now.  Now that the borg are in and working right now time to turn our attentuion to the dominion, they need some of the  attention that the other races have recieved to make them stand out. ideas?

Just another reason this is a full install patch. So much has changed even us devs cant  name it all . ;P .   So with that being said ! you better arm your selfs the borg are comming to assimilate you!!!:borg:

Hi guys love the mod it is the only reason i still have sins installed. I too had the asteroid problem, where it shows 0.00. But it only appeared on ice or volcanic planets where there were metal asteroids at ice worlds or vice versa. I just changed the files to not spawn any metal asteroids at ice planets or crystal at metal planets and the problem apears to be solved. Dunno if there just not supposed to be there. Hope this helps, and thanks for putting in all this work guys. you're awesome.

We will fix the asteroid problem soon. Hopefully you wont have to re-download the mod. It seems to be a map issue, or perhaps a stupid typo in the asteroid entitys. What maps were you playing when you noticed this? it is important.

The only map I played the mod on is the fortune favours the bold custom map. The changes i made were in the planet files in the game info folder and no problems with the asteroids since.

What about on the vanilla sins maps? has anyone notice this playing maps like systems of war, or the randon gen maps? It is what i thought a simple change, but we need to know if the problem is on all of the maps or just on the custom maps. I cant do anything about it right now, because i gotta go to work, but we will try to get it fixed later today.

I noticed that travel around stars is very slow. Is this intentional or a bug? It took something like 15 minutes real time to go from one end of a star to another. A klingon fleet wiped me out while I was waiting for my fleet to get home.

Hey just started playing this mod and I Love it!  Just one Question though.  After I research the Danube class Minelayer how do I make one?  Couldnt find it anywhere......Maybe just blind?

I have tried multiple maps.

Both versions of the fortune favours the bold.

Small, medium and medium/large map.

and systems of war.

I found the bug on everyone of the maps. It is only the ice planets and is always a metal asteroid in orbit that is showing 0.00. The volcanic planets that i stated in my first post are fine even when there is a crystal asteroid in orbit.

and when it comes to having crystals on volcano planet and metal on ice it really isn't unbelieveable that a planet can have those stuff, its just been that its been drilled into you that all ice will have crystal and all volcano will have metal

I know I solved it by changing the planet entity files to only spawn crystal asteroids round ice worlds. It has solved the bug for me.

It happens on Twin Empires too, the 0 metal on ice planets, and 0 crystal on volcanic worlds.  I just don't build them when I see the are listed as 0.00 in the planet description.  Also, I have seen the 0 asteroid there too, but seems a random thing, and it is not a dead asteroid.

I found the actual cause of the asteroids that have 0 extraction. In the entity file the extraction rate for the metal asteroids orbiting ice worlds was set at 0, hence no extraction. I just matched the ice extraction on volcanic worlds and now the roids work perfectly. Hope it helps.

sorry also forgot the refinery rate needs changing as well.
