erebus teleportation

erebus teleportation

I think erebus's teleportation is fine but when it is used on land. However if it is used, for example, on crucible to teleport across gaps in the map it turns into an unfair advantage. This allow erebus to take the reinforcement flag in the back on the crucible base very early in the game. I think all gaps in the map should be become impassable unless you purchase a scroll.

Tell me what you guys think.

Well, I never really have room for pots... Gotta save room for flag locks and scrolls :P

Don't remember the cooldown time off the top of my head, but I think it's around 13-15 seconds. 15 seconds should be enough to get the job done.

What erebus can do is nothing compared to a lvl 10 oak with the teleport item, teleport across the gap .. die and swing swing swing omg citadel gone.

There is an item that gives this ability to anyone. There's a cool down, obviously, and it takes an item slot.

The only fix that wouldn't alter the ENTIRE game would be to make the closest point between the center circle and the bases over 60 (whatever the unit of distance in the game is.. yards?) apart.

I'm not against some tactics being available to some demigods and not others (eg, regulus being able to push towers from out of range, oak & QoT being able to shield their way past towers etc)

Regulus is NOT the only Demigod that can push towers from outside their range.  All generals can purchase siege archer idols which can attack towers from outside their range.  The Rook has a trebuchet on his back for this very purpose, and TB is bristling with ranged spells that can take down a tower.  Even the UB can run up, spit, then run away.  Every demigod in the game has an ability that enables them to attack towers from outside their range.

All the teleport items I've tried to date didn't have enough range to cross that gap.  Which one are you using?

all they need to do is throw up some energy wall or something...they would not even need to redesign the map.

True; just put up an invisible "anti-Erebus" barrier on maps that have this issue and problem solved.  That's all I'd ask for.

Heck the TB with Ice skills can freeze towers thus disabling them.

that would do the trick, and i would like to see this solution applied. but it would need some dev time, it is not just a cheap stat change. Redesigning the map by widening the gap a little would maybe be easier for the devs...

Anyway this will have to be solved ; i heard that the devs will release a balance patch after the netcode patch, i hope they have noticed that problem and will solve it.
