AI bots have no place in skirmish mode.

The bots are terrible, constantly screw up the team's laning and feed the other team gold by suiciding. Why the hell am I being forced to play with them in skirmish mode? The entire point of multiplayer is to play with other humans and if I wanted to play bots I'd stick to single player. As it stands the only way to play with an all human team is to through custom games which are shaky and suffer from constant "failed to join game"s and nat failures. All I can say is that this was a terrible design decision.

Some fixes are coming in this week to make it easier to connect during skirmish and pantheon Modes. I think the problem with these 2 is there is no confirmation or anything and people get uneasy during the 5 minutes you're trying to connect and give up. I have yet to play a skirmish/pantheon game that isn't over half bots.

As far as bots are concerned, they really are terrible. If you go around the back of the base and capture a portal, they don't respond and just keep doing what they do. The only way they will try to get the portal back is if you kill one of them and they are forced to respawn near it. I think the only thing the bots know how to do is move forward, or return to base when they want to buy something.

I lol whenever I see a dieing bot retreating right past a health potion on the ground.

They are planning on getting rid of bots in online Pantheon except for brand new players to introduce the game.

3. Pantheon games.  Right now, the system is excessively biased for new players – it wants to include AI players as cannon fodder.  While this is fine and dandy for new players, once you know what you’re doing, having AI players in the game is incredibly annoying.  So next week we’re going to change it so that if you have played a few games, it will wean the player off of AI players until you only play humans online. Same for Skirmish.
