espionage against minor races

So, I bring up the Foreign Policy screen...  on the Relations tab, I see the major races and can increase my espionage spending using the slider below their picture...

If I go to the Minor Races tab, there is no slider for espionage spending...  so how do I do it?

Thanks,

Shirva

You can't. Annoying, I know, but there isn't anything you can do... At least in DA, as far as I know.

I'm not sure if thats DL DA or TA.

In DL there were sliders for each race but I don't think even then you had one for minors. If there was a slider there ... then i don't know.

In DA the slider is for your overall spending and is not enemy race specific. You are pretty much paying to triain spies which you then have to place on other races plants to get info or "sabatoge" an improvement. You can however view and AI planet if you have at least one spy on hand. You can not view or otherwise spy on a minor. Its annoying but I don't mind as it gives a bit of suspense when you go to invade an AI planet... did they build an Econ capital??

I don't have TA (hanging head in shame) so i don't know what the current epionage system is like.

If you try to do espionage on a minor race, like placing a spy, you'll get the "don't waste your time" speech from whoever *really* runs your empire. Which is kind of annoying. I always thought I ran my empire. If I want to know what those damn squirrly Snathi guys are doing, or where they are stashing their foodstuffs, I should be able to do it.

Yeah, it's one thing to not be able to do it, it's another thing the way it's put. I usually run Evil empires, so my first instinct is "Where is the button that tells my soldiers to put this guy's head on a pike for telling me where to put my spies!"
