Great game luvvin it. Question: How do I turn off Auto-focus on ships?

Hi everyone.

This is my first post after buying the game a few days ago, and i've been amazed how addictive the game-play is.

* Question: How do I turn off Auto-focus on ships?

Mind blank - what do you mean by auto focus? There's a toggle for zoom to cursor on top of the UI (to the left of the menu button are some utility buttons, it's among them), which I think is what you're asking about :P

No, he means when you zoom in with your cursor over top of a ship the camera automatically locks onto it.

Well, he could turn off zoom-to-cursor... but zoom to center really sucks.

Well, with zoom to cursor the camera focuses on the mouse pointer - if it's a ship, then it's a ship, otherwise it's just a point in space. With zoom to cursor off, it stays focused, you can't zoom out and zoom to mouse pointer.

Or if it's another star in the very distant distance, that cool battle you were just watching gets left behind in the dust, that's why I turned off zoom to cursor, it kept zooming in on very distant objects and whatever I was doing I had to find it again.

Is this even possible? I checked the user.setting file as well as the menus in-game. Can't see anything relating to turning it off.
